I understand where you are coming from, doesn't the episode come in your language; I was just wondering? The NFL starts before the NHL does; both are going on right now. No, It comes in English... I usually understand everything but unusual words or slangs not

I thought they dubbed it, but I'm glad that your able to see it. I like the original voices/ Lilly's voice dubbed into Spanish is extremely annoying, she sounds like Hannah Montana and Scotty sounds like the pink panther or a nickelodeon cartoon

I did think the stillman comment, " Don't let me catch you in a leotard" was probably the most funniest scene, besides Vera's flyers hat. Not much else to say

2. Frankie Told Scotty "I like cockie" and she said I like cockie to, what's cockie? What she actually said to him was, "I like hockey," as an explanation of why she was at Jones'.

Thanks, Cello I also misunderstood that. Stupid excuse for her to be there since she is married and shouldn't be with Scotty.

Wow, clearly I'm in a minority here. I really don't get the hate for this episode, it seems to me that those of you who hated it are letting two scenes out of a 40 minute episode dictate what you think of the whole episode. But eh, this would be a very boring board if we all thought the same thing I would rate this episode good, just on the strength of the actual case. I found it interesting, believable and sad. It's true we didn't see much of the victim this time around but I still felt for her, trying to get her big break in what is still a very male dominated business. (Wasn't there a US female newsreader fairly recently who sued for age discrimination?) I liked that she recognised there was a story and wasn't afraid to go up against a big corporation. I thought her final scene was gut wrenching; you could see the realisation that her mentor was just as bad as the bigwigs at Shaw Plastics crossing her face as she tested him by asking for "a million". Heartbreaking. I really liked the scene with Lilly and Will being chased by the dog. I thought it was filmed very well, very tense, and for the first time in a while, one of our detectives fires a shot in anger. Ironically, the man responsible for that turns out to be a very sympathetic guy, nicely played by both older and younger actors. That interview was another heartbreaker, as anyone who knows anything about the agonies cancer causes to victims and loved ones will attest. Again, kudus to the actor for playing that scene with restraint and still getting the heartbreak of fighting a losing battle across. Not a bad metaphor for the theme of the episode, when you think about it, because that's what Jane was doing, too. (By the way, Eduardo, I have no idea what you mean by saying the fence jump was better in the preview. The only difference is the preview was shorter, otherwise it's the exact same clip! And finally, the damn thing has been shown, so maybe people can stop obsessing about it ) Vera and the hat! Bwahaha! Kat seeing right through Scotty! "Leave me out of it! Nuh-uh! Uh-uh!" for the win! Bwahaha! And the expression on Kat's face as she walks away? Oh yeh, there's gonna be icons a-being made the minute I get my paws on some screencaps Scotty - deary, deary me. The show isn't doing him any favours this season. I have no problems with Frankie at all, and so far the SL has been OK - not brilliant but nothing ridiculous either. But I have no idea why the powers that be felt the need to go there with this story. Although I have to confess the bit where she drops the handcuffs on his desk made me giggle. But I'll concede I'm easily amused. The silly thing is, they could have done that aspect of the storyline without having Scotty lech at the TV reporter too. BTW, it'll be interesting to see if they ever follow up (AHAHAHAHAH! Sorry, I crack myself up) the idea of Scotty tipping off a reporter about a story. So no, not one of the best but nowhere near being the worst either, in my opinion. I think Season 6 has been very strong overall and you're always going to get one or two eps that dip below what you think is great, particularly if early episodes really set the bar high.

Somehow I think this Kat and Scotty think, might be a possible foreshadowing in into a relationship? She does have a liking for him; considering how she banters with him a lot this season.

I like Kat too much to like her to pair up with Scotty Wish they just would let it be. Can't a show go without relationblah for a while for a change again? No matter if Scotty or Lilly or whoever. It might be unimaginable for many, but a human being can survive being a single for some time and even enjoy it and be happy - and still have a nice social life. Sorry, no offense.

This show does need to stop with the relationships for awhile, that Scotty/ Kat thing I was just throwing it out. I don't want that to happen..

Scotty/Kat? No, I like her a lot and that'd be very unproffesional @ cellogal- Thank you @ mitchy- I meant that in the preview, there was like a different angle that was not seen in the episode... or maybe the moment was too short but yeah, the scene was well done. There were some good points in the episode and I'm not judging the episode for the Scotty/Frankie thing, I ignored it th most I could. I hated that they did not let Jane develope as much as we would like to see and we have seen before. It's because even in the press release they spoiled it b/c they said it had something to do with Shaw Plastics... what bothers me the most is that this episode(modified) would have been a great one I usually tend to see only the case... not too much about personal lives Does someone else get this feeling that Kat Miller and Lilly dont get along very well?

I really liked the episode, a upcoming journalist who tries to devote herself to what was the right thing to do. But the way Scotty is acting lately around women... No, no, no no.... Is it just me or has anybody else noticed this... 1) Kat and Stillman is almost paired together 2) There is in almost every case a theme of parent/child involved this season...

Excellent Episode.
I knew it was the her mentor/producer as soon as they showed him, it reminded me of the episode that featured the African American baseball player from the 1930s it was his manager/mentor -cheeky White guy who was always with him, name escapes me, it was similar the one closest to them was the doer.
I had hoped it was the other anchor just so someone would give him a kick in the tush.
This case was like Erin Brokovich, did anybody else get that feeling.

Yes, in both cases the closest person to the victim killed them but in "Colors" we could say It was an accident while in "Breaking news" it was a cold murder *I'm sorry, I never watched Erin Brokovich so I can't compare it

This case was like Erin Brokovich, did anybody else get that feeling. Hm, no, despite that Jane was going against some company maybe, who tried for profits sake to hid that its worker were getting ill. Erin Brokovich was a single mother, clerk in a lawyer's office, she was no journalist, and the case against the energy company PG&E was about polluting drinking water with hexavelent chromium, not effecting workers but residents of a town (Hinkley). Read though somewhere, that Erin Brokovich is now working for a law firm focusing on pursuing remedies for asbestos-exposure.

Thanx myril for explaining what's Erin Brokovich about Talking about feelings... Does anyone else get the feeling that Kat Miller & Lilly don't get along very well? I mean, they don't even talk to each other... Maybe it's me...

I don't think it's that they don't get along (Lilly helped Kat with a very personal case in "8:03 AM"), I think it's just that they're both more comfortable with the guys. We know from some episode (can't remember which one) that Kat has brothers, and Lil doesn't get along with her sister. Some gals (like me) just befriend guys more easily than they do other girls, and I get the sense that Kat is like this, and possibly Lilly, too.
