All Alone, Naturally

It had been now just a year that Lilly had been not in a relationship, Saccardo was gone, but heart still had wanted him. For the last two months she had been ignoring Scotty's offers on taking her out on a date.

That was the last thing she had wanted to do right now, but it wasn't about him; well sort off. Did Lilly really want to be dating her partner, or was it crossing the line? Anyhow she didn't seem to be that interested in him, like he was in her.

During each day, she found a single red rose on her desk. Scotty seemed to be that desperate for her to go out with him, but yet he never said anything. In the hallway the two collided into each other,as Scotty peered into her blue eyes.

His heart always jumped out of his chest, which made him put his hand on her shoulder. Lilly pulled away, before seeing her former lover; Saccardo kissing another woman.

It was there that her heart had broken, as she raced out and into her car. Her eyes were still looking at the rose....

Night after Night, Scotty wanted to call Lilly but still couldn't. He knew that she would only hang up on him. Plus knowing her, she'd probably be at work or relaxing at home. That was his next question, did Lilly actually relax when she was at home; watch TV or something?

Or was her nights filled with endless sifting through papers at the office? He had wondered if Lilly actually preferred to be alone, but then got up the moxy to call her.

" Rush," she answered, sounding her usual professional self.
Scotty could hear the sweetness in her voice, " Hey Lil, you doing anything?"

From over the phone he heard her sighing, " Yeah going to bed?", which had him glancing over at his watching, " At 7pm Lil, you wanna hit Jones Taven for a drink?"

" I'm good Scotty, just stop calling me alright?"


Once she had hung up, Scotty knew that something wasn't right. Upon arriving at her apartment, he had noticed that the door was ajar. Inside, Scotty saw that the whole place had been ransaked, " LIL!". he yelled but heard nothing.


As he then proceeded to go upstairs, he found Lilly sitting in a corner; with both her arms and legs bound. Her mouth had been taped shut, " Oh Lil, what happened, " he whispered while slowly removing the tape from her mouth.

Lilly exhaled deepled but it was clear that face had been bruised and had defensive wounds on her face. She was trying hard not to cry, but it was painful noticed, " You know what they looked like?"

" No, I just want to be alone," she said quietly. Scotty wanted to hold her, to comfort her; but yet respected that she didn't want his comfort.

" I gotta call this in Lil, you need to go to a hospital, " but as Lilly got up; she threw a blanket around herself, " No, I'm fine Scotty, we just need to get them."

After it had been called in, Scotty remained by herside, "How about I stay here, just to make sure?"

That only had made the situation far worse, as he found himself walking out of her house. From upstairs Lilly watched with tears in her eyes, she wanted his comfort but yet she was all alone again..
