Title: Oath to Devotion Pairing: Lilly and Scotty Rating:PG-13 Summary: Lilly and Scotty have been married for 2 years. Lilly is struggling to fall pregnant. How does thing affect their relationship? Will it tear them apart?
Ok, so a new fanfic I have written. I was never really good with writing but I like sharing my thoughts on how Lilly and Scotty can get together. Hope you enjoy and please comment, I know I need to improve so your thoughts on what I can do to get better would be appreciated.
It had been 2 years since Lilly and Scotty had finally got married. After a year of being just an ordinary couple Scotty found the courage to ask Lilly to marry him.
Lilly had said yes and after a few months there marriage was finalised. There was always something between them.
They were always close friends but things had changed for them.
When Lilly was shot Scotty was devastated. He wasn’t there for her, which he regretted but seeing her depressed made him heartbroken. He couldn’t stand staring into her eyes and seeing a helpless woman crying inside.
When she had the car accident he couldn’t take it anymore. He saw her go back into the state of depression and he knew that he couldn’t let her go through it again.
He was there for all her needs and after a few months of intimacy and closeness he told Lilly about his feelings. At first Lilly was shocked and disgusted. However after a few days of deep thinking Lilly realised she felt the same way.
From the day forward they were closer than ever. The team knew sooner or later something between them would happen and the car accident was the start of it. The team noticed how happy both of them were together.
Lilly had been struggling to fall pregnant. As soon as they were married Lilly informed Scotty that she was desperate to bare a child. They had been trying for close to 2 years now and not succeeding. It was tearing Lilly up and Scotty had noticed it. Lilly felt worthless not being able to mother Scotty’s children. Scotty knew that she was desperate for a baby girl and he promised her he would not stop until she fell pregnant.
“Lil.” Scotty called from the kitchen. “What?” Lilly answered following his voice. “I was thinking we should go out tonight.” He said turning around when she appeared in the door way. “Where?” she asked. “How about dinner and dancing?” he asked walking over to her. “Fine.” She whispered turning to leave. He captured her by the waist and spun her around. “Let me go.” She squealed. He spun her around and dipped her down, mimicking their wedding dance. He leaned down a placed a soft, tender kiss to her lips. He pulled her back up into a warm hug. “God you’re such a romantic.” She mumbled walking over the bowl of food he had on the bench. “You know you love it...Hey, don’t touch that.” He grumbled. “I’m hungry.” She groaned. “Not that. It needs to be cooked first.” He said chuckling. “Oh, ok.” She whispered realising she had no clue about anything to do with cooking. “You can be so cute sometimes.” He said taking the bowl and putting in the fridge, ready for cooking later. “Sometimes?” she asked glaring at him. “Yeah, the rest of the time you’re sexy.” He moaned winking. She burst into giggles making Scotty shake his head. She had a special attractiveness and beauty about her that made him go weak at his knees. “I need a shower.” She murmured. “So do I.” He whispered into her ear, flirtatiously.
After their warm shower Lilly went into the bedroom to get ready for their date. Scotty followed her wanting to see what she was planning on wearing for tonight. “Get out.” she mouthed. “Why?” he asked. “I need to get ready.” She mumbled. “And?” he asked. “I don’t want you seeing, so nick off.” She said clearly. “Fine!” he pouted walking out of the room.
Lilly knew he was just trying to get on her nerves. She wanted tonight to be special. Every night was the same routine. She was going to spice things up tonight. She was always fearful that Scotty would leave her for a younger woman that found it easy to conceive but she wasn’t going to give up. Scotty always reassured her that she was the only woman he wanted. She believed him but there was always those little voices that made her sceptical.
Tonight was going to be enjoyable and exciting. Lilly needed to let go of some of the energy she was building up inside and Scotty knew she loved to dance, especially in front of a crowd. Lilly’s audience was never disappointed when she hit the stage.

*************************************************************************** Scotty was sitting on the couch in the lounge watching a football match. He was too engrossed in the match that he failed to see Lilly enter the room and stand on his right.
Lilly coughed which made Scotty turn.
What he saw was a beautiful, breathtaking young woman dressed in a black, short dress which was so short that men would go crazy with lust. Scotty’s first thought was ‘She ain’t going nowhere in that dress’. If he took her out like that every man in the room would steal her away from him. Not to mention her eyes, she was using the smokey look for her eyes with a touch of pink lip gloss. Her heels where red and open at the front so you could see her red painted nails.
He didn’t know what to say. He had never seen such a spicy appearance for her neither had he seen such a striking blonde lady.
He scanned her body running his eyes over her legs. He has never seen such lovely long legs. They went on for eternity.
“Say something.” Lilly demanded hesitantly.
Scotty could tell her let her mind slip to the wrong idea when he kept mute.
“Absolutely stunning.” He whispered getting up, walking over to her and running his hands down her body. “Really?” she asked shyly. “You’re gonna have heads spinning tonight.” He whispered into her ear. “I know the dress is short but it makes me feel sexy.” She said, wrapping her arms around his neck. “And that you are.” He whispered again, placing a soft kiss to her cheek. “Are you ready?” he asked. “Yep.” She said confidently. “Well let’s go then.”
They got into their car and drove off. All the time Scotty’s mind thinking how astounding she looked tonight. He knew that tonight was going to be a show.
When they arrived they walked over to the bar and took a seat. Scotty ordered a beer and a cocktail for Lilly. Lilly didn’t really drink but she didn’t mind what drink she had. She gulped it down making Scotty’s mouth spring wide open.
“Oh shut up. I need to loosen up a bit.” She said. “Want to dance?” he asked.
He knew it was quick but he couldn’t wait to get out there and show everyone she was his. There were already men staring at her and talking about her body.
“Sure!” she answered.
He took her hand and led her to the dance floor.
The dance was fast at first making Lilly all the more desirable. She never knew how to dance until their first date where Scotty taught her everything he knew. Obviously he was good teacher because Lilly was now a pro.
Scotty noticed all the guys staring in awe, all the guys whistling and even the guys dancing around her trying to get closer to her.
He never felt so lucky in his life.
The song changed to ‘Hungry Eyes’. Scotty knew Lilly loved this song.
Lilly wrapped her arms around his neck while Scotty wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her closer. She rested her head on his shoulder never wanting to let go. She felt so fragile, yet so strong at the same time.
“I love you.” She whispered. “I love you too baby.” He whispered back.
They danced many more dances until they were both out of breath. Men all around stared wanting to have what Scotty had, frustrated that they couldn’t have it.
They walked back over to the bar realising they had not left the dance floor from the first time they hit it.
As soon as Lilly and Scotty took a seat at least 6 guys came up asking Lilly to dance. She told them kindly that she was taken and only danced with her husband.
Scotty knew Lilly had insecurity’s but this just proved to him that he should be the one who is worried. Lilly could have so many guys and yet she was still with him. He was so thankful to have a wonderful wife like her. She was his all. He loved her to bits and pieces.
“Ready for dinner?” Scotty asked Lilly. “Sure.” She said throwing down some cash on the bar.
They walked a couple of stores down to a restaurant that they knew quite well. ‘Feather Touch’. It was a quiet, romantic little place to dine at.
They ordered and talked while waiting.
“Ever wonder what would have happened if we never got together?” Scotty asked. “I guess I would be alone and still depressed.” Lilly answered sadly. “But you’re not, you got me.” He whispered reaching over and taking her hand in his. “I know.” She said as she leaned over the table and kissed him.
Their food arrived just as they parted. The enjoyed their food and when they were finished they left. Scotty couldn’t wait to get her home and devour her. She looked so hot that he was going crazy. They travelled home ready for a romantic night full of desire for the both of them.

************************************************************************ That night Lilly and Scotty lay in bed after their passionate love-making.
Lilly felt so special, Scotty had done everything right tonight.
Lilly’s head was resting on Scotty’s chest while they watched a romantic movie.
The movie reminded Lilly of them. The couple in the movie had obstacles to face everyday yet they were still going strong.
Half way through the movie Lilly was starting to feel sleepy. She reached up and kissed Scotty on the cheek then rolled over to let sleep find her.
As soon as she turned over Scotty felt lonely.
“What’s wrong?” he asked “I’m tired.” She whispered. “You’re always tired.” He mumbled, frustrated that she wouldn’t finish watching the movie with him. “It’s not my fault.” She turned back around, looking Scotty straight in the eyes.
“Maybe if I didn’t have to worry each day about falling pregnant, or maybe if we didn’t have to try to get me to conceive each night, or maybe if you actually started to think about how I feel and how bloody useless I feel each day waking up to find there’s no baby growing me, perhaps then I would actually be able to do what you want me to do. But I’m sorry that I don’t give you what you want so I guess you can go and find someone else.” She yelled at him at the top of her lungs.
Scotty felt his heart stop. Tears were running down Lilly’s face. Scotty had never seen her so vulnerable and defenceless in his life.
He felt that maybe he pushed her too far this time.
Lilly pulled the blanket off of him, snatched her pillow and ran out of them room.
He was left there speechless and half-naked. He knew he would have to make it up to her.
During the recent days Lilly had become a lot more withdrawn and depressed feeling that she was unworthy of his love. Especially at times like this. Scotty knew that one little word that came out wrong might push her limits to the maximum, making her burst. This is what had happened now.
He got up as quietly as he could and walked to the spare bedroom.
He opened the door and saw Lilly curled up in the bed. He could hear the sobs coming from under the blanket.
He walked over to the side of the bed and tried to pull the blankets back. Lilly wouldn’t budge. Scotty laid himself down next to her rubbing her back and whispering sweet words of comfort into her ears.
“I’m sorry baby.” He whispered over and over again. “I didn’t realise how fragile you were at that moment, I just really wanted you to stay awake.” “Bu-ut...I wanted to go to sleeeep.” She sobbed. “I know gorgeous, I’m so sorry.” Scotty whispered. “I...I...I hate being like this Scotty. I want to give you a baby, I...I...really do. I can’t help it if it doesn’t happen. I tr-ry my best.” She cried. “I know, I know, just relax okay. Get some rest.”
He pulled the blanket down from her body, re-arranged it, then lifted her up and carried her back to their bedroom.
Once they were in bed Scotty pulled her into his arms, holding her tight against him.
Lilly was still weeping, making Scotty feel helpless. He cradled her in his arms until she fell asleep. Only a few hours later did sleep find Scotty. ****************************************************************

I don't think Lilly would forgive him just like that, it's not like her to forgive someone that quickly. That's just me, but good chapter anyway

**************************** The next morning Lilly awoke to the beautiful smell of roses. The sun was peeking through the curtains making the room glow.
She rolled over hoping to snuggle into Scotty when she saw the other side of the bed empty.
Her first thought was ‘he left me’. Of course he hadn’t but her insecurity’s were up to their highest.
She scanned the bedroom to see his clothes still scattered on the floor.
She sighed in relief.
She looked up to see the time, but instead saw the bouquet of roses sitting in a vase.
She smiled in ecstasy. ‘That’s where there smell of roses came from’ she thought.
She sat up and reached for the flowers and smelt them.
She looked at the clock. It read 1:45pm.
She felt saddened to know that half of their Sunday had been wasted on sleep.
She replaced the roses on the bedside table and retrieved Scotty’s shirt from the floor. She slipped it over her body, loving the feel and smell of his shirt.
With that Lilly went in search of Scotty.
Scotty was cooking in the kitchen. He was planning to make Lilly pancakes, and feed them to her in bed.
However his plan was ruined when he felt a pair of thin arms wrap around his chest.
He turned his head to see Lilly’s baby blue eyes staring into his.
Scotty leaned down and placed a gentle kiss to her lips.
Lilly returned the kiss passionately.
“What are you cooking?” “Pancakes.” “Mmm, yummy.” She moaned. “I was going to give it to you in bed but that’s a failure now.” He cried. “Don’t be such a baby.” “I’m going out to get the mail.” Lilly whispered into his ear.
When she returned Scotty was sitting on the couch bitting into a pancake.
Lilly placed the mail on the tabletop and sat down next to Scotty.
She grabbed a pancake and snuggled into Scotty.
Lily felt a lot better to today. She wanted to have a soothing day but she knew that would be ruined when a knock came from the door. ********************************************************************

********************************************************************
I’ll get it.” Scotty said standing up and walking to the door.
Scotty answered the door, and let the rest of the team in.
Lilly turned to see everyone there, Kat, Nick, Will and boss.
“Looks like someone is eating.” Nick said reaching for a pancake. “They were for us.” Lilly grumbled. “Learn to share Rush.” Nick mumbled through the bites of his pancakes.
After everyone took a seat the conversation got going. “What are you watching?” Kat asked. “Some romantic crap.” Nick hushed. “Shut up.” Lilly said bitterly. “Ouch Rush, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or maybe with the wrong person.” Nick said chuckling.
That did it, Lilly was planning to have a nice peaceful day but it was ruined when the team turned up on their doorstep.
Lilly jumped up and stormed out.
All eyes were on Scotty.
“She isn’t feeling well; just take it easy on her.” Scotty whispered, walking out of the room to find Lilly.
He found Lilly in the kitchen, crawled up in the corner of the bench. He leaned down next to her. “Come on Lil, you know he was just messing with you.” Scotty whispered rubbing her back. “I’m sick of people messing with me.” She cried. “I know.” “No Scotty, you don’t know.” She yelled. “I’m just trying to make you feel better.” He pulled her into his arms stroking her head. “Why do I loose it all the time?” Lilly asked. “You’re under a lot of stress. I don’t blame you.” He mumbled into her ear.
He held her in his arms for a few more minutes, until he knew everyone would get suspicious about their whereabouts.
Scotty stood up, pulling Lilly with him. “You stay in here, make some drinks, freshen up and I’ll go out there and make sure they are more sympathetic, okay? He asked. “Okay.” She mumbled kissing him on the check and reaching into the cupboards to find glasses. Scotty returned to the lounge glaring at Nick. “What?” Nick asked. “Don’t play dumb with me, be easy with Lil, she has a lot to deal with.” Scotty whispered. “I didn’t think she would take it so seriously.” Nick murmured. “Well she did, so be careful.”
Scotty sat down on the couch flicking through the TV channels. He finally stopped it on a football match. He knew Lilly wouldn’t want to watch any type of sports, but he missed the game yesterday, so the repeat would have to do.
Lilly returned into the lounge with coffees for her and Kat, and beers for the guys.
She sat next to Scotty and sipped her coffee. “Do we have to watch this?” Lilly mumbled. “I didn’t get to see it yesterday.” Scotty moped. “Fine.”
Lilly sat there watching all the men occupied by the TV. After 20 mins she was bored stiff. He stood up and retrieved a magazine from a rack.
She gestured for Kat to follow her. Lilly walked into the dining room, took a seat at the table and waited for Kat to sit across from her. “Can you help me with something?”Lilly asked. “Sure, what?”
“I want to do something special for our anniversary, but I don’t know what to do.” Lilly muttered. Lilly and Scotty’s 3 year anniversary of marriage was coming up in two weeks. Last year it was dinner and dancing and the year before that it was just dinner. Lilly wanted to do something extra special. “Oh, well what do you want the mood to be like?” Kat asked. “Romantic, peaceful, you know just like a first date.” Lilly whispered. “Okay, well why don’t both of you ask for a few weeks of leave, go somewhere away from here to make sure you won’t get interrupted.” “Like where?” Lilly asked, thinking this might actually work. “Some romantic resort or a nice cabin off the beach, or somewhere snowy and quiet.” Kat suggested. “Snowy and quiet, I like that idea.” “Well surprise him with it, tell him you want to take him to a hotel, but instead take him there, he’ll love it.” Kat said. “Well, this was easy.” “Yeah, you just need to plan it now.” Kat whispered. With that the girls walked back into the lounge. Lilly thought the guys didn’t even notice that they had disappeared.
Lilly sat on the couch next to Scotty, thinking of her little plan. She felt excited; she knew it would be a perfect week for both of them.

************************************************************************** “Who’s the victim?” Lilly asked, walking into the department with Scotty by her side.
“17 year old girl named Nicole, shot. Suspects were her boyfriend and best friend but they both had alibis. Parents were divorced, both were out with friends, didn’t find out till her mother came home and found her dead on the couch. No neighbours heard anything.” Kat informed them on the details. “Rape?” Lilly asked. “Nope.” Kat mumbled. “Find the gun?” Lilly asked. “Nope.” Kat mumbled. “Nick and I are going to go check out the boyfriend, go over the files and see if you can pick up something we missed.” Kat said, grabbing her coat and walking out with Nick.
Scotty walked over to Lilly wrapping his arms around her waist. “Pretty girl.” He mumbled. “Yeah.”
They took a seat at their desks going over the files. Half way through her second file Lilly looked up to see Scotty gazing at her. “Find something?” she asked. “Nah, just thinking of our anniversary.” “Really? Me too. I planned it already though.” She said sheepishly. “Oh, what did you have in mind?” Scotty asked. “I was thinking we should go to a hotel, like a little break.”
Lilly saw the disappointment in Scotty’s eyes. She knew he was expecting something more exciting but she couldn’t inform him of her real plan. “Sounds great.” He lied.
Lilly went back to the file but couldn’t concentrate. She kept thinking of her plan to take him to the snow. Just thinking about it made her heart leap. She breathed out and went back to scanning the file. “It says her best friend was at her stepmother’s house right?” Lilly asked. “Yeah.” “Well how come it says her stepmother worked from hours 5 in the morning to 9 at night. She wouldn’t be able to get into her stepmothers house without a key, says she didn’t have a key.” Lilly mumbled biting on her pen. “What time did she was she was there to?” Scotty asked. “Well Nicole was murdered between 8 and 9 pm. Her best friend said she was there from 6 to 9.” “Looks like we need to pay someone a visit.” Scotty said getting up and putting on his coat. ******************************************** Lilly and Scott arrived back at the department shortly after their departure.
“What did you find?” Lilly asked Kat. “Boyfriend is clean; he’s got his parents to confirm he was home.” “Unless they are covering for him.” Scotty said. “What about you?” Kat asked.
“Best friend admitted she lied, she didn’t want her boyfriend knowing where she was because she was cheating on him. She said the guy she cheated with can back her up.” “Alright. Who wants lunch?” Nick asked. “Everyone.” Kat chuckled. “Yeah yeah, don’t be such a smarty. I’ll go out and buy some donuts for the guys and chocolate for the girls.” Nick mumbled.
After everything had died down Lilly grabbed her phone and went into an interrogation room.
She rang a location that she had found on the internet. It supplied you with a little cabin in the snow. Looking at the flyer they had sent her, Lilly grew excited. The flyer had images of the cabins, the snow and the mountains which surrounded it.
Lilly dialled the number and waited for the answer.
After giving them her details, Lilly had reserved a cabin for her and Scotty. Everything was planned. Lilly couldn’t help but feel proud knowing that Scotty would be surprised and eager to explore the resort.
Lilly returned to her, noticing the food on the desk. Nick had obviously returned. She looked at Scotty to see him giving her a suspicious gaze. “I needed some alone time.” She whispered. “Is everything okay?” Scotty asked. “Certainly, I just needed some time to go over the case in my mind.”
Scotty was convinced, which was a positive. Deep down Lilly was ecstatic; she knew there anniversary was going to amazing. She couldn’t wait to leave. “Scotty, we need to ask boss for leave for when we go.” Lilly whispered. “Go where?” Nick asked. “None of your business.” Kat hushed, hitting Nick across with a file. “Ouch, don’t, that hurt.” “Stop whining like a little baby.” Kat hushed. “Go where?” Nick asked again. “For our third anniversary we are going to a hotel for a break.” Lilly informed Nick. “I’m going to go ask boss for leave, okay?” Lilly asked Scotty. “Yeah, sure.” Lilly walked over to Stillman’s office, knocking lightly. “Come in.”
When Lilly entered Lilly told Stillman every detail of her plan. She told him how she was going to take him to the snow and how she lied telling him she was taking him to a hotel. After hearing the whole story Stillman agreed to give her and Scotty two weeks off. Lilly smiled as she walked out of Stillman’s office.
Lilly walked to her desk giving Scotty a nod to inform him that everything was in order. *****************************************************************************
