Sort of a spinoff of the "Season 7 Lilly" thread. Let's pretend (I stress the word pretend!) for a moment. Some set of events occur, which result in Lilly leaving her current position in the team. So, what does she do? Where does she go? What kind of job does she have? Does she start a family? Does she move? Does she do something totally crazy? Toss in every angle that you'd like.  Pretend she was fired, she decided to leave, even if she lost her badge! But Lilly no longer investigates cold cases, so what is she up to now? |

Well, After killed an innocent man, Lilly Leave the Philly PD and Try to start a Familly with Patrick her ex fiancé (she forgave him). She's spend every weeks-end with her Familly (Finn, Paul ...) And a day a weird man ask her some help about a case (hefound her detective card on the floor of Jone's tavern) Blablabla.. And Lilly can't resist she start to work lonely as a Private detective ... But Lilly prefer open an Private Detective agency and invit Kat to join her !! 1 years after she have a Baby called Evelyn ... and ..and..She live in a Big old house and she always have her cats who had babies xD ... Lilly forgave her Sister Christina who's pregnant but without men Lil' let her live in her house with Patrick hummm (I'm working about the end )
I'm totally Crazy huh??

@niiny- Lilly didn't forgive Patrick, he never appeared on this show. I doubt she would go back out with someone who was with her sister.
I can't really see Lilly doing anything, I thought once her being a nurse but you know she might be happy just to become a mother. I can't see her even getting married but I can see her and Saccardo living together with their kids.

Lilly moves outside Philadelphia to Phoenixville where she has a modest three bedroom ranch style house with an annexed building where she cares for abandoned cats: "Lilly's Furry Companions". She currently has 70 cats brought in by the locals (or she also goes out and traps them) which she cares for and keeps them medically up to date and places them in loving homes. Every Saturday or Sunday you will see Lilly toting some of the cats to the local Pet Stores where she hangs out trying to find homes for these animals. Of course, Olivia and Tripod live in the house with Lilly.  She tends bar at a local restaurant/pub in downtown Phoenixville called Molly Maguire's Irish Restaurant and Pub. Lilly basically keeps to herself and has no love life, maybe one or two friends she has made through her cat rescue efforts. She's trying to make better lifestyle choices for herself like eating organic foods (she shops at Wegmans) but doesn't do too well because that old part of her that turns to alcohol is so inbred in her. She's not a drunk but she likes her drinks and we know she would never give up her appletinis. (sp). Lilly doesn't go to church. She doesn't know what she believes in anymore. She has a friend who belongs to a local metaphysical group and she is trying to go through "A Course In Miracles" although Lilly has some snide remarks to make as her friend gives her snippets of the material. ;D Her nightstand beside her bed is now full of cat whiskers from all the cats that have been in her care. She saves a whisker of every cat she has ever boarded which she tapes to the back of the photo she takes of each one. |

Naj- That would be a pretty scary thing, I can't somehow see Lilly being so obbessed with cats or working in a bar ;D Lilly leaving homicide to become a mother, then marrying Saccardo. They have two kids together. She then becomes an ER nurse, which later inspires her to become a surgeon. Or Lilly remains all alone for the rest of her life, writing crime novels one after the other.

I can't see Lilly having kids...and I REALLY can't see her marrying Saccardo. I mean, I like the guy, but he just doesn't seem like someone she'd want to be with on a permanent basis. Sorry, Lillyardo fans. But I can see her as a private detective, though. Or maybe a counsellor. Helping people is important to her, so if she weren't a cop I think she'd still be in that kind of field, something that makes a difference to people's lives. |

Hmm, this is a very interesting thread. I suppose it would depend on how she left her job. She gets fired or loses her badge, is one thing. She decides to leave, is a whole different scenario. As others I could see her in some other job where she would help people, but I'm not sure which job. Sadly, Lilly is so attached and dependent (sp?) of her job that I really can't imagine her doing anything else. I actually believe that if she left (or had to leave), she would become depressed. Her job is what defines her.

Her job is what defines her. I could see Lilly becoming depressed. What happened after she was shot? She couldn't sleep; she clammed up and wouldn't even talk about it to a therapist. So in denial. In all honesty I don't see a happy time for her because her coping mechanisms in response to her life patterns are to just keep everything stuffed inside. Therefore she's unable to address them in a healthy manner so that she can establish healthy choices for herself. Good point, Tati, of Lilly possibly loosing her badge permanently. Maybe this experience of her near death causes her to explode. Maybe she looses her temper in the course of her work. Honestly, I never thought that Lilly would be the type of detective to do something that would jeopardize her job. She's always kept that under control. But she did go to see Joseph on her own and that was a big "no no". Will she learn from her near death experience and become more lightened or will she continue her downward spiral? I'm guessing it's probably the latter, and so, what can Lilly do next that is another screw up to her own happiness. |

When Lilly can't find any more homes for the kittens and cats she takes, she keeps them for herself. Going insane, she becomes a raving lunatic, and starts throwing cats at anyone and everyone who crosses her path.

Naj, I agree with you that Lilly will continue to go in her downward spiral. She has gone through everything, and she still hasn't learned to deal with her feelings and/or her past. It's sad but some people can't be saved, and I'm afraid Lilly is one of those. As a viewer I must admit that I like her that way. |

I disagree, I think Lilly will learn how to deal with her feelings after what had happened to her in S6 finale, plus with her father. She might be able to deal with it, but lose the satisfaction that she once had in her job.
As for being alone, well Lilly does like to be alone. I can't see her being miserable for the rest of her life..

As for Lilly liking to be alone, I'm not sure. I believe she's used to being alone and probably finds being alone "easier" than being with someone, since being alone helps her not having to deal with her feelings. But I believe that throughout (sp?) the years she has shown more than once that she doesn't like being alone that much. |
