The Nominations: cdn.emmys.tv/awards/2009ptemmys/61stemmys_noms.phpI can't say I'm surprised at the nominations. Once again, it's same old, same old Hollywood politics. The shows/people that are 'supposed' to be nominated are nominated, and the shows/people that 'should' be nominated, and deserve to be nominated, are not. I cannot say how peeved I am that once again, the Emmy voters failed to recognize "Battlestar Galactica". It was a fabulous show for its 4 season run, and this past season being their last, it was the last chance for nominations. Not a one in a major category. What a waste. |

Especially can't understand how they can ignore the great score for BSG by Bear McCreary. It's a shame.
Seeing the so called main categories - uhm, do they simply copy the list every year?

No surprise.... don't watch the Emmys anymore.... BSG got snubbed big time. Newcomer drama Southland got snubbed. I thought Regina King did a pretty good job on that show to be at least nominated for best actress  . NCIS is another show that keeps getting snubbed, although I'm glad it's still "under the radar" even with its solid ratings showing. True Blood got snubbed too and it should've been nominated. 30 rock, 22 nominations? really??? and shows like "Grey's Anatomy" keeps getting nominated(George enlisting in the Army then getting hit by a bus...JUMP THE SHARK ONCE AGAIN...l@me)... Where's the freaking love for sci-fi shows? Has a freaking sci-fi show ever been nominated for an emmy(except for "Lost"...it got all soap opera-ish like almost every show on ABC)? And "Heroes" is a bit overhyped and I don't really like it. |

I'm super stoked that The Office and 30 Rock got nominated.  I have to check to see if anything else I like got nominated. Oh wait, I remember one! Two and a half Men! |

As usual all the overrated shows got nominated, and some aren't really that great.
the emmy people need to pick better shows and actually nomiated more undderated shows. It's actually not very fair, I don't watch the emmy's anyhow.
Give the underrated shows a chance, stop with the same stuff already. C'mon the emmy's need to chance up their nomiations..

I have never understood all this "award fever" for 30 Rock even since last year...
I really think that I should watch a little to have an opinion but I'm very suspicious...
The nominations for House, Monk and Law&Order:SVU are really fair. Incredible cast and shows out of the common.
As for some others, like Closer, Saving Grace, CSI, I just think that they have nothing more than Cold Case or NCIS, so it's unfair to let the last ones out of the nominations, again...
