I hightly doubt that, I think season 7 if there is one would be their last. The actors want to eventually move on. How long can this show go on; give it one more season the end it. You can't keep a show on forever, it eventually gets very old and boring. Law and order has like 20 seasons. The Simpsons have 20-21 and counting. CSI has 9

Yeah but Cold Case isn't that type of show that could survive 20 seasons, it's not logical. Let's just see if this show even gets renewed but talking alright. There's no sense of trying to to ponder that thought, right now we as viewers don't want it to get cancelled.

Look, I aggree if it was a season 7, it will be possible that it will be the last...
For example: Friends. The latest season (10) was a conclusion for this show. ER... this season is the latest one. The end of cc now is unfair... in my opinion... The end might be wasted.
In France, we try to expose this possible cancellation at radio's show who talking about tv. Show very pouplar in Europe 1 station.

I'm new here, having just discovered these boards about a month ago. I've watched Cold Case almost from the beginning and watch the reruns on TNT. I'm really steamed at the thought of CBS possibly canceling this show. They've preempted this show so many times for sports, specials, etc. If the show has lost any audience, it's the network's own fault. How can any show keep an audience with that many preemptions? Cold Case has survived in the top 20 in spite of all that and against stiff competition from Desperate Housewives. That should stand for something!

Personally, I'd like it to go to season 7 and then probably leave it at that. Cold Case can't be one of these shows that runs for upwards of 10 years due to the format, unless the writers are always at the top of their game (unfortunately they aren't), the whole premise of the show wears thin. As we can already see, when the episode isn't excellent, it's quite flat; and currently the only way an episode is excellent is through major involvement of character personal storylines.
I think a 7th season would be great to tie up the show, and leave it at that. As we can all see, shows like the simpsons will not be remebered as a great show (even though it was once), due to the fact of it running 10 years too long with stupid storylines. And I think after the huge loss of quality in season 3, most of us knew that this was not going to go more than 7 seasons (when the contract is up)

We've had excellent episodes without personal drama(Wednesday's Women, Shore Leave & The Brush Man) I don't know what's going on with the same old, repeated and absurd complain "Cold Case isn't the same" HELLO! 1. We don't have the same writers 2. The first 2 seasons had also a lot of mismatches and cliches. The thing is that since It was a new show, so many people were like Apart from the fact that this season has not had a really old case (1910-1949)... has been a very good season and yeah, I want 1 or 2 seasons more if possible

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, if you think this season had been great or just okay, if you like the first seasons more than the later, if you think the show had lost momentum or not.... Whatever.
At the moment we all here seem to agree, we want at least one more season. So le's concentrate on that.

Ok guys, I post here the debate which I had with Tracie Thoms 's friend. When I will have some news, I shall notify you of it! ********************** Hi. I am a friend of Tracie Thoms who helps run her Facebook page - I am going to delete your comment about Cold Case only because I am actually planning on addressing that later on and I don't want to cause any rumors or anything beforehand - will update soon. Ok, I understand but... Could you give the link to her fans who watch the drama, please ? Sorry to have post this comment Yeah, I'm just waiting to hear from her on what she wants me to do - I know she has some other links and stuff so.. I'll forward her that one as well and ask what she wants me to do. Oh, no worries at all... I'm glad people are spreading the word!!! I don't know if you went on the link which I had pointed out in my comment, but it is about a petition that the fans Americans and Europeans have create. In brief, if ever your friend gives you the slightest news concerning series, could you inform me about it, please ? With some internauts, I am responsible for giving the last news concerning the drama... ************* Ps : Tell me what you are thinking about this debate

This is just a question to the board. Do we want to get this petition advertised more prominently here? Maybe put a note in the first post of the thread that there is now a petition to save Cold Case? Cold Case Petition

Yeah great ! Really good job for getting the petition link on the main page !! Thanks ! I hope this will help us to raise the count of signatures ... Here, in France, we give this link to a lot of media (tv, tv mag, websites, etc ...) who begin to talk about the information about the possible cancellation ... I hope they'll spread news about our mobilization to avoid the end of the drama.
