THE TEAM TACKLES AN UNUSUAL DUAL INVESTIGATION OF A MISSING TEEN AND HIS MURDERED FATHER, BOTH IN THE WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM, ON "COLD CASE," SUNDAY, FEB. 15
Recent missing teenager. So that's either 2009 or 2008 or?

Well, lots of great music in 2008. Will be a very hard choice.

Ooh, 2008. The 00's songs are always hard to guess... But I'll give it a try later.

Well, here's my guesses.
Finger Eleven - "Paralyzer" Kid Rock - "All Summer Long" (Although they'd only use this if the crime happened in the summer. Otherwise using this song wouldn't make sense.) Metallica - "The Day that Never Comes" Coheed and Cambria - "Running Free" Seether - "Fake It"
Possible ending songs
Coldplay - Violet Hill Scorpions - Humanity Fuel - "Leave the Memories Alone"

2008 had some good music. Well, it had good rock, alternative, and metal. I can't speak for the pop, rap, and r&b genres.
Though judging by the previews I don't know if they'd be using rap music.

It didn't help that it was almost impossible to hear the songs themselves -- as a result I could only get three. ----------------------------- (no opening song) " " - (plays when Tom is handing them their new information) " " - (plays at the track meet) ----------------------------- ----------------------------- "Not as We" - Alanis Morissette " " - (plays when Jake and Tammy are in the bedroom discussing their plans) "The Ocean" - The Bravery "Until The Day Is Done" - R.E.M. ...anyone can to help a music searcher out?

Thank you, myril. Your help is appreciated. And after rewatching the episode online, I was able to identify another song, though only because it was used on "the OC". ----------------------------- (no opening song) " " - (plays when Tom is handing them their new information) "If You Were Here" - Cary Brothers ----------------------------- ----------------------------- "Not as We" - Alanis Morissette "Crosses" - Jose Gonzalez "The Ocean" - The Bravery "Until The Day Is Done" - R.E.M. Now all we need is that one final song that I've mentioned above.

I looked the songs up on www.have-dog.com/coldcase/ and it says there: José Gonzáles "Slow Moves" - Witness relocation cover-story. Cary Brothers "If You Were Here" - Feeling like a family again. Alanis Morissette "Not As We" - Lee and Ben decide to start over, "clean slate." José Gonzáles "Crosses" - Tammy tells of Jeff's plan to "fix things." The Bravery "The Ocean" - Jeff walks the NJ shore with his Dad, and they come to terms with one another. R.E.M. "Until The Day Is Done" - Closing Scenes
