The last one isn't from the 80's just to tell you, that's an old song came out way before that....

What was the ending song??? It was "Shout" by Tears for Fears. There were two The Fixx songs. "One thing leads to another" and Red Skies at Night.

I got one song, at least. Next episode is from 1967 so I plan to do much better then.

I knew none of the ones listed here were going to make it :-) Just the title of the episodes says it all. I mean seriously.."Dirty Dancing" soundtracks just because it was around 88?

Ohh, thank you! Good song. I think I just got one song right too. 1967 is much easier. I already have my guesses. Can't wait to see "The Brush Man" Bye!!

Actually, those who chose Simply Irresistable by Robert Palmer got one song right. So you're wrong. It opened the show. BTW, that's what we do. We take a look at songs from that year and post the ones we think are going to be featured. Most of the time they feature very well-known songs, so it wasn't a stretch to think arguably one of the biggest songs of the year would have made it in the show tonight. No one here knows what kind of tone the show will take so we don't know whether to focus on rock songs or hip-hop or pop or maybe country.....we just have to guess and see how right we were.

Wow, it's been a while since I posted.
Anyway, here's the song list for this ep.
"Simply Irresistible" - Robert Palmer "What's The Matter Here?" - 10,000 Maniacs "One Thing Leads To Another" - The Fixx "Red Skies" - The Fixx "Don't Come Around Here No More"- Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers "Shout" - Tears For Fears
Interesting...three of the songs ("One Thing Leads To Another", "Red Skies" and "Shout") are from 1983, 1982 and 1984, respectively. First I've seen of songs used from over five years back.
Aaaaaand you thought I forgot about this, didn't you? Well, here's the current standings on song guesses.

Hello teledetective! I was feeling really lucky ;D when I heard the first song of the ep and then I came and looked and saw how many others had chosen the song. I was feeling I may hit a few songs but only got one. This is a good competition!!!

thanks for revealing Red Skies by The Fixx. i heard that one recently on SIRIUS but forgot it. it's yet another not known for radio airtime locally, the only Fixx classic played on radio and even on 1980s CDs is 'one thing leads to another' and that's it, they never reveal every hit from so-called 'one hit wonders' there's a lot of great 1980s music that i never heard before, only because DJs and 80s-compilations don't want to include them.
