I am a "relatively" new watcher of Cold Case, and am altogether more familiar with the more downbeat, angsty Lilly of Series 3 - 5, who, aside from the odd quip, is often devoid of humour. Now, I really like Lilly anyway. However, I just saw my first Series 1 episode yesterday - "Late Returns" - and I love the spirited Lilly that we see talking to Kite about the new ADA "Julie", and then when she and Scotty are in the interrogation room with Abby. Lilly was kind of antagonising her, saying, "Maybe Abby wanted her favourite guy all to herself..." and I was literally cheering for Lilly!  It was such a fantastic contrast between S1 Lilly and the later series...did anyone else think this? |

Yeah, I understand what you mean. I've seen almost whole season 1 and Lilly was very different there compared to the other seasons. I guess, second season was the start of her changing of energy. The Christina-Scotty thing and of course George made her being more and more angsty. Besides I think that first season had a lighter kind of feeling altogether. Otherwise the constanty changing of Lilly's energy made us see many sides of her that maybe we wouldn't have seen without that, I think. Just my opinion. |

Hi Bee, I think that Lilly changed because of all the things she faced on season 2, so she would not be the same anymore. However, I like how Lil changes all the time... It keeps part of the mystery on the show |

Yeah i know what you all mean. She was a lot differant in the first season from the others, especially season 5. she does change a lot. she's differant now then she was in season 5.

Hello Bee!  I know what you mean about Season 1 Lilly. I'm an avid advocate for her character to return or try to recapture that side. I just watched Sherry Darlin' the other night. Hi Naj and everyone!
I hope I didn't give anyone the impression that I didn't like Lilly as she was between series 3 - 5, but I was just surprised - in a good way - to see how tough, witty and sarcastic she was, when I'm more used to seeing her get emotionally involved with the suspects and case in general.

It is Ok, Bee. We are here to discuss about the show and We don't have to have the same ideas always. It's true. Lilly has changed. In my personal opinion, I like her changes... I dont want to see the same thing always so I like her changed |
