According to my info, this is the 8th episode of the season, One Small Step is the 7th and Pin Up Girl has no number yet. Of course, all this is subject to change.
This is a 1989 case. The victim is a teenage girl named Nadia, an opera singer who defects from the Soviet Union with her father and little brother. The rookie cop who helps direct them to the State Department? None other than a young Nick Vera. That's right, we're finally going to get to see Vera double cast.
I am so excited about this season. More old cases and young Nick were the two things high on my wish list and we're going to see them! I can't wait.

Wow. Young Vera is a really, really good match to Modern Vera. Kudos to the casting people.
