Hi! This is my first message here, although I am a long-time lurker However, I have a question: I've seen the stars underneath people's usernames - some are green, and some are white. What earns an extra green or a white star? Which is 'better'? What's the difference? Thank you for your responses.

The stars are an indication of how many posts you've made, this has been given a ranking based on police force ranks.

Initially you start with one yellow star as a Desk Clerk I. When you get to 50 stars you'll be promoted to Desk Clerk II. After that it is Desk Clerk III, Officer I and Office II giving a total of 5 yellow stars.

At 300 posts you will be promoted to Detective and move to 1 green star. Senior Detective, Veteran Detective and Sergeant follow, each adding a green star. At 1000 posts you hit District Attorney and 5 green stars.
