Tricky one. Can't say I was listening to a lot of music in the 50s. You? Did they have proper music back then? I had just assumed that all the flashbacks were going to be speeded up black and white films of people running around avoiding falling furniture and women being tied to railway tracks all with high speed piano playing over the top ;D Looking at the titles on that website I'd have to go with: Because Of You If

Rick Darnell and Roy Hawkins -- "The Thrill is Gone" I can't find any video of the original version from 1951, so here's BB King, Eric Clapton, and Phil Collins in concert: Too Young - Nat King Cole Unforgettable - Nat King Cole (could be a good finale song) Ahh... Great choice! I'm a little surprised. With the exception of "Unforgettable", I don't recognize almost all of the other songs from this year. I guess the rest were all "forgettable".

Well, I was close. I guessed either Too Young or Unforgettable, but they played Mona Lisa by Nat King Cole instead. Half a point is better than nothing!

Okay, I absolutely HAVE to know the song from the ending montage. I know it was a version of "Taps," but the cello part just MADE it. (Not that I'm biased as a professional cello player or anything).

Er...since Electrophile, Eurache and Boxman guessed one artist correctly, do they each get half a point? --- Naj: 1 1/2 Eurache: 1 1/2 coldfan74: 1 teledetective: 1 boxman: 1 Electrophile: 1/2 --- And before I forget... "Sound Off" - Vaughn Monroe "If You Turn Me Down" - Peggy Lee "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" - Keely Smith and Louis Prima "Go, Man, Go" - Melvin "Sy" Oliver "Mona Lisa" - Nat King Cole "Rocket 88" - Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats "Taps" - Daniel Butterfield (though which version it is is up in the air at the moment, blargh ) See you all next week!

"Taps" - Daniel Butterfield (though which version it is is up in the air at the moment, blargh ) Wouldn't surprise me, if it was arranged for CC by Michael A. Levine

Eurache and I are tied? That ending was so beautiful and I, too, am wondering if Michael composed that version! I've got it on my list for Season 6 awards for sure!

It's a version of taps by The O'Neill Brothers.
