Judging by the sides, I believe this one is a 1978 case revolving around a 15-year-old rollerskater. If that helps any.

Is there any reason why the actor needs to be at least 18 to play a 15 yr old?

Is there any reason why the actor needs to be at least 18 to play a 15 yr old? If the source is accurate, it says: "ACTRESS MUST BE 18 TO PLAY YOUNGER" At least to me, it makes more sense to have an 18 y/o who is legally an adult in the united states to convincingly play a 15 y/o than a 25 or older y/o would. Working with unknown children actors as guest stars is probably more of a hassle than ones who are more prolific. That would make sense to me.

Actually it's because there are rules as to how long a minor can be on set. It gets more restrictive the younger they are (which is why babies and small children are often played by twins). Conversely, once you're over 18, there are no rules about keeping you late.

From SpoilerTV:
The team investigates the death of 15-year-old girl Missy. Back in 1978, Missy loved to roller skate and tried to cope with her parents' divorce, living alone with her mother, and the latter's new boyfriend. She befriended a teen named Julie, who showed her how to dress, wear makeup and live life on the edge.

When I saw the title of this episode I, of course, thought of Heather Graham in Boogie Nights From the looks of this promo, found via SpoilerTV, we are going to get to see Lilly on skates ;D uk.youtube.com/watch?v=CO3eMF6JVlE

I normally don't read the spoilers, but I just have to say: It's too bad Eddie has left for his assignment in 6x03 "Wednesday's Women". If he had stayed on for one more episode, I'm sure he and Lilly would've gone roller skating after the case was solved.... Think of all those screencaps that would've made RichE faint!! ;D From the looks of this promo, found via SpoilerTV, we are going to get to see Lilly on skates ;D Oh. I stand corrected!
