Wow! Info about the next Cold Case episode is up already. Maybe they have to shoot the Saccardo episodes now to fit in with Bobby Cannavale's schedule? He's in this episode helping with the case.
Anyway, this is a 1974 case and the victim is a collegefootball player named Mike "Bad Moon" McShane, killed the night before the championship game. The case is reopened because an old friend of Jeffries (who used to play football with him) has some new information about the case and wants Jeffries to investigate. Apparently Jeffries's nickname on the field was "Tombstone". Awesome.

Sweet! Spoilers already! And a football case! This is just getting better and better. And I heard something similar, like they were going to shoot the Saccardo eps now in anticipation of BC's new show. Fine with me. Write him out and get it over with, I say.

Looks like someone beat me to it! *lol* I couldn't believe it when I saw there were already spoilers for the new season. It looks like CC is going straight to shooting next season just like other shows are doing.

Wondering why they are going straight to shooting this one Possibly to ease the financial strain on the production crews in the backlash from the strike and being five episodes short last season; possibly, as morwenna16 suggested, to get Saccardo's scenes done while Cannavale has a break in his shooting schedule. Possibly a combination of the two. Possibly some other enigmatic reason that we may never know.

Hm, read that AMPTP suspended negotiation with SAG about a new contract. And there was talk during writers strike that in summer it might come to an actors strike. So, possible they try to shoot some stuff before that?

TV.com has this down as the 1st episode of Season 6.
Is this likely?
If so, can we change the thread title?

Wow, I can't believe we already have spoilers for season 6!! I'm curious to see what they'll do with the Saccardo character. I'm not really a fan of him but it's always a bummer to have a new character introduced and then wrote out quickly...

I have to say I'm curious. I totally hated him in his first episode, then in the finale I thought there was room for improvement so yeah, I'd like to see him back and see what the writers have in mind for him.

I agree with ColdCaseGirl.
I'm looking forward to seeing Bobby Cannavale return as Eddie. Bobby is a awesome actor. And his character is enjoyable.
Besides I know(and so do you CCG) why there is such a outlash of sorts on Eddie. Some people just need to get over it.

I wished CC Team solve cases from years never seen before and there had never been a case from 1970/1971/1974... I mean never from recent years(1970 until now)

Exceptionally Spoilery (but this is the 'spoilers' thread, right?)... SpoilerBlog has a link to what looks like a large (albeit fragmented) chunk of script for this episode.
I'm still very much learning the ropes here, so I don't know what the rules state on the subject of posting off-site links to things like script extracts, so - to be safe - I shall refrain from linking it right now, but I'd be more than happy to do so, or to PM people, or whatever the rules allow... provided it's okay for me to do so.

Well, the site has been linked to before but I'm not sure myself so maybe someone else can answer your question.

I think it's less of a spoiler issue as it is a copyright one. To be safe, I would suggest not linking to the script pages. The CC writing staff works hard on their original work, so I would rather protect it than contribute to putting it out there for all to read. Those interested can visit the site posting it, but I'd say leave Look Again out of it.

Rightyo!
Numerous thanks, TVFan - I figured there might be some specific rules on this sort of thing, for precisely the reasons you mentioned. Thanks for letting me know where we stand on this sort of thing; like I said, still learning the ropes, and - while I'm all about making stupid mistakes and learning by them - this in particular (being, as you said, copyrighted) is something I really didn't want to run the risk of screwing up.
