This is arguably too obscure, but what the heck. Svetlana Efremova, vivid as the sharp-eyed Russian landlady in last season's "Fly Away" episode, was a sleazy Soviet journalist on a syndicated "West Wing" aired tonight ("Enemies Foreign and Domestic," 5-1-02). "Without a Trace" fans will recall her as the mother of a young violinist who bailed ("Prodigy," 10-23-03). And she had the female lead in a witty cable movie, "Spinning Boris" (2003), about three American political consultants who work to get Boris Yeltsin reelected in 1996. A versatile actress who always gives you something.

Thanks for posting this, blankregus. I'm obviously at a disadavantage since I don't follow all the network shows. (I'm in a minority here.) Guess I need to stop watching all the news channels and Hallmark and Discovery Channels! ;D ~Naj

Thanks blankregus. Cold Case always does showcase some versatile actors in their guest appearance roles.

I knew I recognized her from somewhere!!!! I remember seeing her on WAT and she looked really familiar... I must've seen her on TWW... was she the reporter who Toby got really mad at and said something really offensive to her? I'm pretty sure that was her... anyway, she is really good. She always plays a different character... sometimes when I see and actor/ress in more than 1 role, they tend to play the same character, but in every role I see her in, she's pretty different.

Yes, CC Fan, that is the "West Wing" episode I'm referring to. In Los Angeles, KCAL (channel 9) runs a syndicated "West Wing" at midnight Sat. and another on Sunday.
