I've been meaning to post here for ages and kept forgetting! I flew out to NYC August 29th for two nights, especially to see Tracie in Rent! I and two friends went to the Saturday matinee show and it was just mind blowing. Leaving aside my squee for Tracie, the final cast was absolutely outstanding and I'm so glad they got to immortalise the show on film. Tracie was, of course, brilliant as Joanne and she just looked like she was having a whale of a time! Given this was a dream come true for her, I was so happy to see it looked like it was living up to her expectations. The stage door afterwards was absolutely insane, and I wasn't able to get close enough to get my picture taken with her but she did sign my Rent DVD cover, above Idina's signature, laughing as she saw Idina's autograph which takes up a fair bit of space and saying "That Idina! Never leaves me enough room!" A friend snagged the following two photos for me - the second one is where she's signing my cover! And yes, she's as gorgeous in real life as on TV :)   |

When I say the stage door was a scrum, I really mean it! I just about managed to say "please" and "thank you" in her direction. So I will totally have to meet her again and say it! Darn, eh? |

Wow, you're so lucky to have seen her on Broadway, I'd have loved to have gone. RENT's closed now, though, hasn't it? Anyway, I love her in RENT, she has an amazing voice. I'm jealous of you.  |
