**HELP WANTED** Cold Case Wiki

toddsmitts has created a Cold Case Wiki for us at Wikia. You can find it here:

Hi.

toddsmitts, with some help and hindrance from myself, has put in a large amount of effort to get the Cold Case Wiki started. The basic structure is there and we are gradually filling in the detail.

What we could really do with is some help. Please join us in creating a fantastic resource for all Cold Case fans.

Some of the things we need:
- Episode details filled in.
- Screencaps of the characters both young and old.
- A brief synopsis of each episode.
- Detailed description of each episode.
- List of crimes in chronological order.

Any help you can give would be great.

If you are not sure about the process of editing the Wiki then please do ask or send one us the details so we can add them.

I have the following episodes on my hard drive and can make screen caps from them:

Any that's not on the above list, info and especially would be nice.


Just a couple of thingsto remember:

-There are templates for episodes and guest characters. Use 'em.
-Don't forget to include categories.
-If you're putting the guest cast for an episode, try to list them in the order they were actually billed in the episode. (IMDB is no help since they just have them alphabetically).
-Though we haven't made any yet, some entries both for songs heard in episodes and the band or artist(s) who performed them would be nice.
-I haven't really decided any guidelines yet for how entries should look for main characters (Lilly, Scotty) and recurring ones (Louie, Frannie, George). Just find a good picture if you have one (if there's not one already) and use your best judgment.

If an entry for a main character like Lilly is too daunting to start with, there are plenty of pages for guest characters that have nothing on them but a picture (most don't even have that!) They could use some attention.

You could start by working on an episode or guest character you really liked. For example, "A Perfect Day" was my fave, so I started with a page for Cindy from that episode.

I added images and templates for Carrie and most of the main guest characters in "That Woman".

Click on a link and fill in the blanks!

(Try to be as complete as possible. This is essentially an encyclopedia, after all).

I've decided to contribute a little. I've updated Lilly's page. It's still incomplete, but at least it's getting there slowly ;D. There's so much information.

Character Synopsis

Lilly Rush is the only female homicide detective in Philidelphia, until Kat Miller comes. She works in the Cold Case division alongside her partner, Scotty Valens. Lilly solves the most difficult cases in order to seek the truth after all these years in hopes of giving the victim's family, justice. She often works long hours on these cases. Because of this, her relationship with men are relatively shaky and her family can best be described as dysfunctional.

Background

Viewers do not know much about Lilly. Most of the information that we do know are inferences made through Lilly's interactions with other characters. For example, in Season 1's episode, "Fly Away", viewers find out that Lilly was raised by an alcoholic mother on welfare who often neglected her. This left Lilly to fend for herself and care for her younger sister, Christina. While growing up in a difficult household, Lilly often finds comfort in the one boy that knows her most intimate secrets, Ray, whom we encountered in Season 3's episode, "Dog Day Afternoon". In Season 4's episode, "Saving Sammy", Lilly confides to Joseph that she almost married him, but he was not the "settling down" type. Joseph breaks up with Lilly after finding out that she had gone to see him in the hospital. It is Lilly's lack of trust in other men that leads her to be alone most of the time. Her lack of trust can be traced back to her childhood. In Season 2's episode, "Who's Your Daddy?", reveals that Lilly's father left their family when she was young through a quarrel between her and Daryl Booker.

I'd also suggest when mentioning episodes or other characters (i.e. "her partner Scotty Valens"), to include a link to their page.

I can go on with what I'm doing (AliMa it's me): characters, directors, everything is schematic...I can't write long descriptions and so on, because of the language (do you think it's too soon to request an another-language version?) .
I posted the music in some episodes: I preferred to list the songs in alphabetical order by author (excepted for the closing song) because I found discordant lists about the real order of the musics in every episode; can I continue with this standard?
About the pictures: my screencaps from the seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 have a different format, so I don't think it's a good idea use these (if we want the same style in all the pages).

Come on people, the wiki is a good opportunity to know better Cold Case and convey this show to a lot of people. Everyone can contribute, and it's very very easy .

I think we should get the original up and running before we attempt anything like that, especially since it'd be hard for others to contribute to it.

Wouldn't the order they were actually featured in make more sense? Actually, I was hoping once we started writing some recaps, that we could stick the names of the songs in where a flashback starts. I was hoping to eventually make short pages for the songs heard and the artists or groups that performed them, though that's something we should probably save for down the road.
