Looks like Danny Pino filmed two movies during CC's summer hiatus. 1. RX "Ariel Vroman has signed on to direct the indie drug drama RX Sin Receta, says the Hollywood Reporter. The project, starring Eric Balfour, Colin Hanks and Lauren German, centers on a financially desperate young man (Balfour) who decides to cross the border into Mexico with his girlfriend (German) and best friend (Hanks) in order to smuggle pharmaceuticals back across the border. Other cast signed on include Alan Tudyk, Ori Pfeffer and Danny Pino. Tudyk and Pfeffer play two guys who live in Baja running an illegal business, with Pino playing a mechanic in Tijuana. Shooting is scheduled to start Monday in New Mexico." Source: www.imdb.com/title/tt0357182/2. Between A young American lawyer's structured world unravels when her search for her missing sister pulls her into a labyrinth of confusion and psychological deception in Tijuana, Mexico. Thanks for the info Ryebeach. Is that why Danny seemed a little scare in some of the scenes so far this fall?

I still can't get a plot summary for Between although I just noticed that Poppy Montgomery from Without a Trace costars in it and it was filmed in Mexico.

With a cast of gifted young actors, Vromen delves into the darker side of the party to reveal that life can change indefinitely when decisions are made with love and friendship on the line. . Andrew (Eric Balfour), Melissa (Lauren German) and Jonny (Colin Hanks) are friends in the prime of their lives. What is meant to be a weekend party across the border soon becomes a heartbreaking journey that tests the boundaries of companionship, romantic love and personal ethics. . Beautifully composed shots and a stellar soundtrack complete this package, lending Vromen’s dark yet moving coming-of-age story a hip edge and resonating style. - -Maggie Mackay ********************************************* Also check out www.gettyimages.com and type in Danny Pino. There are over 20 pictures of him from the premiere. Gettyimages.com does not want the pictures copied or reproduced so you have to access them on their site.

I finally was able to get a very brief plot description of BETWEEN from the Sundance Film Festival site. Do check the site out as it's screening some fairly impressive films in '05. I wish I was able to attend. I've always thought it would cool to be able to see films for their world premiere. Thanks Ryebeach for the info! I'd heard about this film on the Poppy Montgomery board a while back, but there was no info available. Thanks for digging it up!

Okay, RX's official site is now up. Although there is not a trailer per se, the intro flashes a few scenes at us and there's some additional plot info on the site. Nothing with Danny though except a bio under the cast section which points out that this film marks Danny feature film debut. My guess is his part in this film is not huge. Also, no release date has yet been set. www.rxthemovie.com/index_content.html
