Hi Cold Case Fans,
Our public relations agency recently worked on a campaign with star of CBS’s “Cold Case” Danny Pino. Danny, who plays the laconic Detective Scotty Valens, is a spokesperson for our client, the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association.
CASA’s mission is to provide trained community volunteers to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court. This year alone, over half a million abused and neglected children will navigate the uncertain waters of the child welfare system. But one by one CASA volunteers are standing up to ensure that these children have the best possible chance at a bright future. Appointed by judges, CASA volunteers typically handle just one case at a time— and commit to staying on that case until the child is placed in a safe, permanent home.
As part of our work for them, Danny was permited to take a quick break from Cold Case and head to Washington, D.C. where we produced a video broadcast from the National Mall. As part of the broadcast (below) Danny explains his role as a CASA volunteer himself and how others can support foster children by doing so as well. We thought you'd be interested in watching it!
Here's the video on YouTube:

Thanks for this great bit of information, Nicole. Wonderful to see Danny supporting such a worthwhile cause. We've added a small write-up on this over at the television blog, Pass the Remote.
