I really like the top 5 choices. As much as I liked both Rampage and Stalker and the other two eps, my vote is going to The Good Death because for me it was a classic Cold Case episode with a heavy case with twists I didn't see coming (the first time thru), good supporting cast and a great tie in to Lilly's personal life with her mother. Both stories were incredibly sad. I remember watching the last 20 minutes of the ep in complete silence. Lilly also had a memorable interrogtion of the wife.

I had a hard time choosing between "Forever Blue" and "Stalker", but "The Good Death" really did it for me. A very touching romantic story between the husband and the wife. The wife killed the husband out of love because she didn't want him to suffer. Very touching.

If I think of this season, Good Death is the first episode coming into my mind, the one I rewatched at once. Good story, good acting, interesting cinematography, a great song at the end (too bad I didn't care about nominations, missed Good Day by Paul Westerberg on the list), a not so likeable victim but with a touch of sympathy. It was perhaps a little forseeable, what basically happened, but nevertheless some interesting twists, I wasn't too sure about the case. And then finally the sidestory with Lilly and her mom that integrated well in the episode.

I voted for the Good Death. When I first saw this ep I was like eh?? For whatever reason, it didn't register for me, so I watched it again, and loved it. Such a great storyline about a love lost, but the interrogation between Lilly and the wife was what really pulled me in, because she was talking about her own mom and how she was, in a sense, already gone.

So I'm trying to figure out why the episode I'm voting for here - "The Good Death" - was written by the same guy that wrote the episode I voted as my least favorite -- "Blood on the Tracks"?? Because one of my criticisms about "Blood on the Tracks" is that it didn't have a likable character; yet at the same time, Jay wasn't very likable for most people either. I'm beginning to conclude that even though Jay acted despicably, he also represents a side within each of us that most everyone wants to deny they have. Thinking back to when this episode aired, it did make me think of people from my own past that I've slighted and mistreated. Especially the ones I haven't apologized to because I move around so much and lose contact with people by the time I realize I did wrong. While the main theme of this episode was Euthanasia, there definitely were several other underlying themes that also came through. Namely, the themes of penitence and of forgiving people. Obviously, we see that Amelia Lopez forgave Jay; but there's also the inferred notion that Jay forgave his associate Phil and his wife Caroline for the affair. And of course, we saw that Tommy eventually did come to forgive his dad long after Jay died. I think that's something that strikes a chord within most people, so Jay being so spiteful and unlikeable worked itself into a good thing for the episode.
I too am disappointed to not see "The Goodbye Room" listed here. If it was listed, my choice in this category would've been extremely difficult!!!

Baby Blues for me. I thought it was so sad. And the episodes in which kids are the victims are always my favorites.

Ditto!! Well, this is what I get for not voting in the nomination process. Totally my fault, I know. Anyway, my fave ep's not listed and I'm not voting in this category.
