I had a real struggle between the scene where Lilly got shot, and the roof top scene in Offender. In the end however I found the roof top scene to be just a bit more powerful.

This one's kinda hard because I think a LOT of the most dramatic scenes in this show are ones that happen amongst the people involved in the case, rather than with any of the detectives. For example: "Rampage" -- Tina getting attacked "Saving Sammy" -- Sammy witnessing his parent's murder "Forever Blue" -- The wife busting her husband and his fellow cop making out after drinking in the backyard "Knuckle Up" -- The Hoffmans hearing from Jeffries that the body is James "The Good Death" -- Tommy Dratton denying to his dad about being able to remember the week at the Jersey Shore, when you know that he actually still remembered it. (It drew parallels with Lilly's lie about remembering her mom reading to her when she was young, which made it even more dramatic.) I find a lot of the murder confessions rather dramatic also, such as the ones in "Lonely Hearts", "The Goodbye Room", and "Shuffle, Ball Change". For these examples, I will abstain a vote here.  |

I went for Lilly gets shot, but what I really liked was not the exact moment she gets shot, but the moments before... they were so intense.
