Hard choice! They were all outstanding. I finally voted for The Goodbye Room.

Of these five finalists, it was very easy for me to choose Jennifer Johnson for "The Goodbye Room". In that episode (plus "The Key"), she weaved factual events and social situations from recent periods in America into remarkable episodes that I learned from. I'm looking forward to her next episode.
I'm a little disappointed that Liz Garcia isn't listed. I love her style, especially in her comedic tragedy "Lonely Hearts" and the male-oriented "Shuffle, Ball Change". I find myself thinking that both episodes were refreshing mid-season departures from the typical Cold Case structure of serious topics or female-oriented story lines. I liked how both stories, as unique as they were, still were based upon the basic human need to be accepted and loved. This is a strong theme I like in her writing.
