I haven't seen this movie yet, but I caught Tracie Thoms (Narc Detective Kat Miller) on Ellen the other day along with the entire cast. She has a beautiful voice! They sang "Seasons of Love" (one of my favorite songs to ever come out of a Broadway musical), and Tracie carries most of the song. I was amazed! She's very talented and I can't wait to see the movie.

Forgot to mention Tracie was on E! News Special the other night. It was the critics choice awards and RENT was up for an award. She looked really pretty in a lovely red dress and seemed a nice person when interviewed. She didn't mention CC at all though.

I gotta get off my butt and see this movie!!!! I promise I'll rent it this weekend, I got plenty of time (we get a 3-day weekend in the US due to a National Holiday on Monday.)
Does anyone know of Tracie's background? Does she have a background in musical theater???

Omg, this movie is absolutely fantastic. A lesson of live.And Tracie is really impressive. What voice!!!! Does anyone know of Tracie's background? Does she have a background in musical theater??? She started studying acting when she was nine, and now holds a BFA from Howard University and a graduate degree in acting (theater) from the Juilliard School . |
