This is about to become one of the shortest threads in history ;D I have no artistic talent at all (but hopefully I know what looks good) so this is purely a technical exercise. Could I turn small clips of video into animated gif avatars? Apparently I can. Just. So, these are purely cropped and scaled versions of sections of the wowow video rabi kindly posted elsewhere. Feel free to do with them as you wish. Ignore them and wish you'd never seen them being high on the list no doubt

Thanks guys, you're too kind. The Jeremy one works quite well because it loops well. More by accident than design. The Kathryn one doesn't really capture the moment very well. You need to see the full clip at a bigger size to get the full cuteness impact, but I'm sure you've all seen it

I agree, the Jeremy one is funny. Nice work. Are you planning on making more?

how did you do that, I so pratically bad at artwork it sickening Sorry, meant to reply to this the other day. The process started off just like getting screencaps from the video. I got the caps and loaded them in as different layers in GIMP. I then scaled the whole thing down to a suitable size and saved the result as an animated GIF. It took a few goes to get it right. I seem to recall having to either load the images in reverse order, or having to re-order the layers once loaded. Once a new empty image has been created there is an option to "load as layers" from which you can select multiple images to load at once. It helps to have your screencaps numbered in order at this point. The good thing about the Jeremy clip is that his head returns to almost exactly the same position so it loops well. With the Kathryn clip you can see the start point.
