According to The Futon Critic (thefutoncritic.com), Cold Case is tentatively set to kick off its second season in the U.S. on Sunday, September 26 at 8pm eastern time. That means only 2 1/2 more months!

Naj - I think I remember Kathryn saying in an interview that they work 5 days a week and about 12-16 hours a day. She said something about it taking them 6 days to shoot each episode, so they shoot one ep from m-f and finish it on the following Mon. I could be way off about this, but I think she said it somewhere.

Looks like CBS yanked Cold Case's premiere date. It is now set to premiere its second season on Sun, Oct. 3 at 8pm. Here's CBS's premiere dates from zap2it.com:

*lightly slaps cbs's wrist*
of course they choose to push cold case back. but that might mean that it'll be on longer than other shows that have about the same # of eps. and when the other ones are over, it'll be like 'hey cold case is on!' but, i dont know anything about this subject, so even i wouldnt take my word for it.
Then again, they might change the date again. who knows.

I wonder what their shooting schedule is for California and Philly. Do they make one trip to Philly and shoot a bunch of episodes' exteriors, then go back to Cali and shoot on the soundstage? Anyone live near Manhattan Beach, CA, where the interiors are shot?

Waiting til October. Ouch. I mean, that is a shorter wait than for 24 in January, but still, I need my new CC.

This wait would be easier if we had dvds, but I guess it is way too soon for that. Still, waiting is making me antsy.

BURBANK, Calif. -- CBS will premiere the ninth edition of "Survivor" -- SURVIVOR: VANUATU -- ISLANDS OF FIRE, on Thursday, Sept. 16 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), the week before the official start of the 2004-2005 season.

CBS will formally debut its fall schedule on Monday, Sept. 20, the official start of the season, with the third-season premiere of STILL STANDING (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT), the series premiere of LISTEN UP, starring Jason Alexander and Malcolm-Jamal Warner (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT), the ninth and final season premiere of EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT), the sophomore season return of TWO AND A HALF MEN (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT), last year's number one new comedy, and the third-season debut of CSI: MIAMI (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).

The weekday edition of the CBS Newsmagazine 60 MINUTES begins its seventh season on Wednesday, Sept. 22 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), followed by the seventh-season premiere of THE KING OF QUEENS (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT), the series premiere of CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE, starring John Goodman and Jean Smart (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT) and the highly anticipated debut of CSI: NY, starring Gary Sinise and Melina Kanakaredes (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).

Television's highest rated program, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, begins its fifth season on Thursday, Sept. 23 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), followed by the third-season premiere of WITHOUT A TRACE (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).

CBS's new Friday lineup premieres on Sept. 24 with the second-season premiere of the Emmy-nominated JOAN OF ARCADIA (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), followed by the ninth-season premiere of JAG and the series premiere of dr. vegas, starring Rob Lowe and Joey Pantoliano (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).

Yeesh, Cold Case is all by it's lonesome

Does anyone else know what the other major networks are doing during the sunday at 8 timeslot, and when its debuting? Because if other stuff is premiering before cc, and in cc's timeslot (on other stations).... that may not be good news for cc. They really should premier it earlier.
