Since the beginning of time, mankind has existed between the world of light and the world of darkness. This journal chronicles the work of our secret society known as the Legacy, created to protect the innocent from those creatures that inhabit the shadows and the night.BOO!  I don't believe this show has ever been mentioned here before, so hopefully this will all be a pleasant surprised to many of you. Can't say I'd ever heard of this show before but it looks like it got shown quite widely, and even in the UK. P:TL appears to be a spin off, possibly in a tenuous way, from the movie trilogy Poltergeist, which I'm not very familiar with. According to info I've found "The Legacy" are a group that fight evil around the world. The show is about a branch of The Legacy based in San Francisco. Kathryn starred extensively in an episode of this show, episode 15 of season 2. Laura (that's Miss Morris to you and I) is a deaf women who is a medium (looks more like a small to me  ). The Legacy team know her already, she's a friend from years before. Laura is back in San Francisco with her sister Margaret (pic 15 below). The spirit of a woman called Elizabeth possess Laura to seek revenge on the people that killed her. The Legacy team have to stop Elizabeth and protect Laura. As I said before Laura is deaf so Kathryn is doing the, for want of a better word, muffled voice of a deaf person. She also does extensive sign language. To complicate matters whilst possessed Laura's voice returns to that of a hearing person and her personality changes completely. Laura has no memory of what happens during the times Elizabeth has entered her body (must resist... ) Do The Legacy team save the day? What do you think? Do they really do much to achieve this? Not really. Is Kathryn wonderful throughout? Of course! Hair styles come and go. Fashions change. We all get a little older. But that smile always dazzles  So, here are a load of screencaps. The quality is poor, the source was rubbish. Unfortunately it appears that the 2nd, 3rd and 4th series of this show have never been released on DVD. I will be releasing 3 videos via my podcast in the not too distant future. Kathryn is in the show a lot so doing a "Maximum Morris" edit is not very practical. The videos will be reduced in image size to keep the files small and disguise some of the quality issues. Enjoy.

Sorry to say it, but the quality does suck ;D Oh! Sorry 'bout that.. No offense to you. I am very happy you posted this! She looks great! I love the hair, I always love her hair, no matter what! It's very different of the Lillystyle, though. I'd love to see Kathryn acting deaf. Must be hard to learn all the handlanguage! I love the picture where she does that.  I never heard of this show before! I bet they're not sending it out here  You're going to put it on your podcast, huh? I do have one problem.. If I click on the link in under your messages it brings me to a page full of codes, but no real site. It's supposed to be a site, right? This one is funny  : And.. Oh my, is she going to die or something? Kathryn's great! Thanks for the pictures! |

Sorry to say it, but the quality does suck ;D That's just how it was when I got it. There's nothing I can do. It's not a site as such. It is an RSS feed so you will need to use something that can read them. If you use a new version of Firefox (looks like your version is very old) it will show you a page that is like a simple website. Or if you use iTunes you can add it to that and have it download things automatically. There are some instructions that may here help HERE. I have updated the podcast now. Liily, I mean Laura ;D is being possessed during a seance. That's Laura as Elizabeth acting dead. When that person turns her head to look at her she opens her eyes  |

Allow me to collect myself a moment. Sorry, I'm having a hard time trying to control my fits of laughter while reading this thread. First, we had this from RichE:

OK, I think I'm better now. Maybe. Anyway, thanks for finding this little known Kathryn piece, RichE. The screencaps are priceless, so I can't wait to see the video. The backstory was helpful as well. OK, I'm off to download it on my podcast at iTunes.

So, I got a little sidetracked on my quest to download and watch these clips. I finally watched them. Putting the cheesy writing and special effects aside, this was actually pretty interesting. But more to the point, Kathryn turned in one heck of a performance. I was very impressed with this notch on her resume. She switched from the two personalities, she played a deaf woman, she got angry, she got seductive, etc, etc. There was a wide range here, and I think Kathryn really nailed all of it. Her performance rose above the less-than-stellar material. |

I think Kathryn did an amazing job going between both Laura and Elizabeth. She really got into the emotions of both charaters which is excellent. Even switching between a muffled voice and a regualar one was outstanding. Her character Elizabeth was very creepy making me wonder why she was never cast to do the x-files.
Kind wished there was another couple of clips showing how Laura got back to herself.

Kind wished there was another couple of clips showing how Laura got back to herself. The first 2 clips show Kathryn going back and forth between Laura and Elizabeth. The scene near the end (Kathryn's face all lit up and her arms thrown back) is the big spirit expulsion scene. It looks more dramatic but wasn't much different from the other changes. Laura collapses and then comes to one spirit lighter. |

Thanks so much for this, RichE! Seeing as I'm still home sick, old KM projects have made the misery slightly more bearable. I guess this would be in KM's "aliens and goo" category (how she affectionately has referred to some of her ... ahem, earlier work - LOL!). BUT, I thought she was REALLY good, here. Playing a deaf person convincingly is no small task, and I just continue to be so impressed with her range in her early years no matter what the project. |

KM's appearance on Poltergeist: The Legacy will be airing on Thursday, January 28 on DirecTV Channel 257 (Chiller Channel) at 6:00 AM Central Time, 7:00 AM Eastern and 4:00 AM Pacific. It will then be shown at 3:00 PM Central, 4:00 Eastern and 1:00 Pacific. And the morning of Friday, January 29 it will air at 3:00 AM Central, 4:00 AM Eastern and 1:00 AM Pacific. Hello boys and girls! Hey there, and good Monday to you! I hope that your weeks are all off to great starts, just like mine is! Well, I got a chance to watch this episode over the last weekend, and I was very impressed with KM! Of course, she looked beautiful as always. I won't give away any of the episode, but she plays a deaf girl, and I really thought that she was! Amazed by her acting qualities, her manipulation of her voice, her sign language, everything! So, did anyone else get to watch this when it aired on Chiller Channel? Let me know, boys and girls! |
