Hello everyone! I caught the first re-run episode of Season 1 Today on TNT, Yesterday, Upon the Stair Part 1. I have to say I have never heard of this series before but I don't think I was watching too much television back in 1997. So the premise is they these few men and one woman have the potential to be "the best of the best:" to become an elite Marine multi-skill task force. I've never had an interest in this type of show before but I plan to watch it and see what develops since there are some good looking men in it and of course the talented Kathryn and from what I've read some relationships in their off time. I was reading somewhere that Kathryn did go to learn/train for this and also that they filmed this on an actual military base. And the gunship helicopter {huey}is the real thing along with the F-18 figher jets. I also think it's neat that she gets to fly the huey as well. The line that I liked from the show where Annalisa Lindstrom (Kathryn) says that her birthdate is the same date as the Challenger accident and how that inspired her to be a part of the Marines. Well--- January 28 is Kathryn's birthday for real. I liked that. What do y'all like about this show? ~Naj

I've been watching season 1 all the way thru. Today I saw a good one:
"Birds of Prey" TV-PG-LV, CC Annalisa foils hijackers when she crash-lands a chopper on a deserted island.
It's only been five eps but this is pretty interesting and Annalisa has had to deal with being a marine and dating to not being accepted by one of her team.

Well I saw the whole first season of Pensacola. What a bummer how the Col had to decide that one of the 4 couldn't return and then the second season starts and none of them return. I have to say I enjoyed that first season. I can see how there are parts of Lilly in her current character. The toughness and being part of a boy's club type interaction.
I wanted to catch the first ep of Season two to see how they explained where the four went but somehow I screwed up setting my vcr.

Does anyone want any screencaps of KM in this show? I've been recording it daily and will record the whole first season. Does the "Source #1" website support uploading to the galleries? I couldn't find a way to do it. If not, I'll build my own

I couldn't find a way to do it. If not, I'll build my own hi irishkale, you are free to make a thread here to post some pics. I believe source # 1 will accept them--I think you have to submit them. Just email CJ and ask. And if you make a site of your own--give us a banner to affiliate if you like. I'd love to see your place and visit! It's nice to see what everyone is doing out there. ~Naj

I'm not sure if this post constitutes a spoiler warning, but I'm going to go ahead and give one just in case. There's some info in it regardning plot lines on PWOG. * * * * * * I've been watching this show for the first time, and it's a good show. It's interesting to see the simularities in KM's character Annalisa on PWOG and Lilly Rush. They're both strong female leads having to hold their own in a male dominated profession. Both roles are great because they don't paint women as helpless victims. KM does a great job balancing the characters' toughness with their soft side, making the characters multi-dimensional. I also find it interesting how different the characters are despite their similarities. Annalisa seems to be able to kick back a lot more when she's not kicking butt, and Lilly seems like a much more private person. Oh, and I love the romantic angle between her and A.J. I just watched the episode where they finally kiss for real. Too cute! My only complaint about the show is that this cast is only on season one! I won't be taping and watching the next seasons. Anyone else watching season one through this time around?

Hi TV,
<<<<<<Oh, and I love the romantic angle between her and A.J. I just watched the episode where they finally kiss for real. Too cute!>>>>>>>
Isn't that cute? It was worth the wait for that to happen. AJ did have a problem with her earlier in the season because she was a woman. I like how that was addressed in the storyline.
>>>>My only complaint about the show is that this cast is only on season one! I won't be taping and watching the next seasons. Anyone else watching season one through this time around?>>>>>>
Yea, I never watched Season 2. I lost interest as well. I can give you a few web site if you'd like to look up some stuff.on Season 1, though. I have many of them taped but I have not gone back to watch.
I do have a question, though. You did see the very last episode of season 1? Originally my tape cut it off about a minute before it was over. All I see is James Brolin's character throw out each file with the four pics. And as he throws the last one down of Analisa...it cuts the tape off. Do you remember was that the end or did something else happen?

Hey Naj! I'm such a sucker for that romatic stuff! I agree about the way the writers incorporated the way A.J. had an issue with Annalisa being a woman. Everything changed when the Huey went down! I haven't finished season one yet, I think TNT is on episode 14 today, so about another week or so. I'll let you know what happens. You know what's funny, PWOG totally didn't seem like a show that I would enjoy, but I find myself always looking forward to the next episode!

I'm watching PWOG for the first time, too--only because KM is in it.
I didn't think I'd like the show at all, but I am hooked big time. The episode "trials and tribulations" was really great. Maybe the best acting I've seen from KM. I wish they'd let Lilly be more emotional in Cold Case--let us know more of her background, etc. It may be sacreligious to say this... but I think I like Analisa better than Lilly!

IrishKale-
I couldn't agree more about "Trials and Tribulations." So well acted on KM's part. I LOVED this episode. As far as the CC writers letting Lilly be a little more emotional, I'm starting to get the feeling that they are starting change her character a little bit. I think they want her to grow b/c that makes her seem more real. I mean we are all growing and changing with each new experience we have. Without having seen this new episode "Late Returns," it's hard to say, but just the fact that her hair is down at work shows some change and growth. Maybe we'll see a little more emotion in Lilly (e.g. "Sherry Darlin') in the future as well. I hope so.

Hi TvFan and Irishkale, Here's a web site for Season 1 of Pennsacola. At least this one is still online. www.angelfire.com/tv/pensacolaseason1/I have to go back and look at the titles of the eps because I only watched them once. I have to laugh, irishkale, because I thought the same thing about not thinking I'd like the show. Actually after I saw the first show I realized I remembered the adverstisement of a new James Brolin show that year and I may have even tuned in but it didn't grab me. Isn't that funny now looking back and realizing KM was on that show? Thank goodness for reruns! ~Naj

Naj-
I just watched the last episode of PWOG Season 1 last night, and I have an answer to your question. Sounds like you didn't miss anything. The next shot was of James Brolin looking sad and depressed. It froze and then the credits came across.
Now that I've seen the entire first season, I'm really mad that they didn't continue with that cast. The whole Annalisa/AJ thing was just starting to heat up! It was so sad watching it b/c I knew that it was ending. Bummer. Oh well, I'm glad Cold Case is doing well and KM has found a worthy project. She certainly deserves it!

I loved that last episode! Analisa gets alot of quality screen time: the "ear nibbling painting scene" at the beginning; the "little black dress" on the "mission/date"; and the "phone sex" scene.
There was also a funny scene where Kristanna Loken is asking James Brolin if she can "stay at his house tonight", because AJ and Analisa are "dating" at their apartment. The ensuing dialogue is hilarious.

Kinda cool that in that last episode of season 1, the "special guest" was... Jeremy Ratchford!
He and Kathryn never shared a scene together unfortunately....

Hi TVfan, Yea, I was sad too knowing they weren't coming back. But since they took the AJ and Annalisa relationship to being a couple, I guess, that sort of completed it in an way. I mean, what would they have done the next season about it? I did enjoy the show. Thank goodness for reruns as it took me 7 years to go back and watch the series! Hi Irishkale, Yea, I laughed when I saw Valens (Scottish/Irish sounding) in that last episode. There were some others I recognized from Xena too because KM was on that show as well. ~Naj

Irishkale-
Those scenes were great! I thought the end was so great too with the paint on each other. You could tell that they were so crazy about each other! Too cute.
Naj-
You have a very good point about it ending on an upbeat note with their relationship. There really was nothing left to do. It's probably better to leave things like that instead of having a long drawn out season after season break-up/make-up storyline that TV writers like to do.

According to TNT's Web site, Pensacola first season reruns will begin airing again on Wed, June 9 at 6am (on TNT) as usual. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up who hasn't seen it and wants to.
