Thanks very much for this, nessa! I have not seen the film but admit I'm curious about it. I've held off on the DVD as I thought Kathryn would be no where to be found, so it's good to know her scene is included in the extras!

Thanks nessa! It's good to see Kathryn's lost scenes resurface.

As some of you may have noticed I have added Kathryn's scene in The Last Castle to my podcast. I should stress that nessa was kind enough to provide me with the clip so I could make it available to all of you. Thank you nessa I suggested nessa make the announcement herself, so she could take full credit directly, but she's gone quiet on us.

Awesome! Thank you so much nessa and RichE! I have to say, I'm afraid I'm starting to develop a thing for KM in military-esque roles ... let's see, there is PWOG (can't get enough of that one), Inferno (corny, but military badass nonetheless) and now The Last Castle (southern accent and all going toe-to-toe with James Gandolfini). Niiiiice.

I finally got around to watching this clip as well (I guess you can say it has been a "Maximum Morris" weekend with all of the catching up I've done on RichE's fabulous clips of Kathryn's earlier work ). This was yet another different role for her. Too bad her scenes were deleted. Having lived in the south, I thought that her accent was pretty accurate. It was much more natural than what you typically hear in movies and television (it's usually exaggerated to the point that it's ridiculous). I don't speak with the southern accent (I'm not from there), but I have plently of friends who do, and I thought that Kathryn rocked it. Of course, she spent part of her childhood in Texas (where she still has family), so I guess she had plenty of reference points. Thanks RichE!

I got out my last castle DVD to check out the extras to find the scene with KM. That scene should have been included in the original movie, it would have certainly added to the film.
Being from the South you could tell that she has spent some time down here. Not a fake accent at all!
