Jerry Maguire Question

Good day boys and girls!

Hello, it's the Byrdman coming at you on this lovely Sunday morning. I hope that you are all doing well, and that a great weekend continues for you all as well.

I had a question - I was watching KM's appearance on David Letterman last night, and he was talking with her about a small part that she had in "Jerry Maguire." KM said that she did have a small part, but that she had auditioned for Renee Zellwegger's role in the film.

I cannot remember KM being in this film, and I have not seen any credit she has received for being in this picture - it is not even on her IMDB roles (she is given credit for "As Good As It Gets" there too - that is about as small a role as one can get).

But I was just wondering if anyone happened to know about our girl KM's role in this picture. The movie is on TBS this morning, and I am TiVoing it. Now, it is 3 hours long! If I can get a response here, it might greatly help in editing it down.

You are right, KM does mention having a small role in Jerry Maguire. I've seen that interview before but not really picked up on that bit. Must have been too dazzled by that smile ;D

Funny how she had a problem with her cats in real life, and Lilly has problem cats.

I will track down a copy of JM and see if I can spot KM. Not sure where she'd be though. Another assistant in the office? A face in the crowd at the airport? She's not one of Renée's friends at the end, I don't think.

You have to wonder where KM would be now if she'd got the Renée Zellweger role. Come to think of it where'e RZ now? Haven't seen her in a while.

Mr. TVFan owns Jerry Maguire, so I've gone through it and can't find her. Of course, it's entirely possible that I missed her, but I have a feeling her scenes were edited out. The sheer fact that they may have been edited out here and we know they were in other big films and she persisted on, is one of the things that will forever endear her to me. It shows incredible character. For the record, I can totally picture her in the Renee Zellweger role (not to take anything away from RZ).
