Anybody seen this movie? Just wondering if it was worth checking out and if Kathryn had a decent sized role.

How come her hair is such a topic no matter where she appears! I think I will tape this one. This woman has been around and I'll plan to take a look and see what she's up to!

Last night I was up really late and i was flipping through the channels and I saw Kathryn and I watched part of it. I guess it was this movie then. It was a pretty crappy movie but she did okay, her acting was better than the other cast members.

I agree the movie wasnt the best. But Kathryn was definitely the best actress in it She had so many emotions, she was awesome!

I recorded this movie, and just watched it. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. I thought the production value was terrible, but the storyline and the acting were good. Kathryn was definitely one of the leads. She did a really nice job, and the role was decent b/c it had some emotion to it as you guys said. Worth checking out if it comes on again, which I'm sure it will.

I thought that was a good mix only because I like them. The first 30 minutes or so was interesting and then it just fell apart with the silly machines taking over the boat! SCI-FI always seem to be so low budget that stuff looks kinda silly to me. ~Naj

You're right, Naj, "Virus" is stinky. It's a more expensive Hollywood rip-off of a stylish U.K. cult feature, Richard Stanley's "Hardware" (1990). Name actors nearly always doom a sci-fi splatter remake. The original has an inventive visual style and stinging rock soundtrack -- creativity is a must when you haven't any money! The pre-"Practice" Dylan McDermott can be seen as the heroine's scavenger boyfriend. A heady mix of Argento and "Blade Runner." (Stanley has talent -- a pity he hasn't worked more often.)

I didn't finish watching it. I just lost interest. So I have no idea what even happened. Maybe Sci Fi will run the UK "Hardware". Is that possible to run UK films in the US?

It's not a great movie but it's way way way better than sleepstalker.

She was amazing as always!!

It's funny how it always seems to be Kathryn's most natural role when she's got a gun and kicking butt. For a self-proclaimed klutz who "can't even catch a ball" she certainly does well disposing of the bad guys.
I loved her hair in this. Very cute!
Although it wasn't the greatest movie, I may have to rewatch it this weekend. :-)

Soooo, I am dragging yet another "old" KM project thread up from Davy Jones' Locker given I had the chance to check out this film. As others have already said, it was not nearly as bad as I thought it could be (and being horror fan that I am, believe me when I say I have seen far WORSE zombie flicks that are just so you wonder how in the world anyone agreed to even make the film - LOL!). This actually had a story, acting wasn't half-bad (maybe a little over the top with the "bug" people). It was kind of corny in parts, but not so corny it was distracting (if that makes sense). Kathryn's role is fairly substantial. And it definitely falls into that "aliens and goo" category she has referenced when she has talked about some of her earlier roles; she would do stuff like this simply for the opportunity to learn something ("If it had aliens and goo in it, I've probably done it.") I have to say she was pretty convincing - definitely the most engaging character (although Boyd Kester wasn't half bad; and I tend to like Tim Matheson in most stuff, so I liked him as well). Ironic Tim was the director on this film - he would go on to work with Kathryn on the first two seasons of CC as both a producer and director. And yes ... [shallow KM hair comment coming] ... I did LOVE her hair in this film. It's circa Role of a Lifetime and Murder, She Wrote: A Story to Die For. I don't know why I like this cut, but I do. Short, kind of spikey/textured, blond with the darker roots ... It.Just.Works. (Is it bad I want Lil' to whack off her hair into something like this? ) LOL! All in all, I guess I like seeing KM in the occasional kickarse / gun-toting / get-the-bad-guys kind of role. She can actually be pretty convincing with how at ease she is with the physical demands - whether it's the sword stuff on Xena, the marksman/underwater stuff in Mindhunters, or sort of the shoot-em-up-at-the-OK-Corral stuff in this film. The gal has range. Am not sure running out to buy this one is recommended unless you REALLY love KM and want it in your collection. But it might be worth a rental if you're short on KM movie goodness. Or bored and curious. LOL!
