Wow.. I found out we actually have this movie on Tape (the original one, therefor the Capital Letter )! Watched it right away yesterday! Kathryn was great! Especially in the end, when she really gets the action. And.. OMG.. She's hugging Tom Cruise! *dreams away..* This movie was great anyway! The whole storyline is perfect! And the person who played Agatha must be a very good actress! If I was allowed to hang on Tom Cruise for a half hour..! I would totally take the job! ;D Sorry for bumpin' this thread up. It might bring some old memories to you!

Thanks for bringing this thread back up, Khaya! I didn't ever comment in this thread about how much I enjoyed Kathryn in this film, not to mention the film overall. I confess I put this one off for a while because ... well, am not too big of a Tom Cruise fan (don't hurt me - LOL! ), but when my co-worker (who isn't a Tom Cruise fan, either) told me how much a) she loved it; and b) specifically remembered Kathryn's role in it .. I was like, "Must be good." And it was. Such an interesting story ... the idea of a pre-crime division in the future who could actually stop crimes before they happened. I tend to like good Sci-Fi-esque storylines such as this, which challenges our thinking of what is possible in the future, etc., whilst also questioning it at the same time. Thus, it was easy for me to get behind the story. The visuals in the film, the futuristic look, were amazing. I felt like I was watching a beautifully choregraphed dance when the actors would stand in front of the "screen" files, trying to piece together the case(s). Then again, we are talking about Steven Spielberg directing, so hey, we know it will be good! Kathryn was so wonderful as Lara. I can't quite put my finger on what I enjoyed most ... again, I guess it's that quiet strength that she can so easily convey, and she can say so much WITHOUT saying anything. She had kind of an angelic quality in this film ... sort of a true good contrasted against the darker sub-plot(s). Loved her line: "Come and listen to the rain with me." Easily one of the best romantic lines I'd heard in a while. All in all, highly recommend this one!

I know. We got BBC too here. But we have it on tape, so I didn't need to struggle with un-subtitled movies, that comes late on television. Anyone saw it?

I know. We got BBC too here. Of course, I forget that some people in the very north of mainland Europe can pick up the terrestrial signals, for which they haven't paid I've got it on DVD of course. It was going to end very late so I wasn't going to watch it all on TV but I did watch until the end of Kathryn's first appearance (as the hologram) because... well...
