I have Paycheck on DVD now and I'm not sure what to do with it. The screen caps on KMO are probably better than I can manage and pretty much cover KM's appearance in the film. I have made a 15MB reduced size (320x180) MPEG4 of KM's scenes if anyone is interested in hosting it. It has some non-KM stuff edited out to shorten it but there is enough left to give the scenes some context. If anyone has any suggestions or requests I'm happy to try and oblige. You know, RichE, it might be good to wait about a month before releasing your clip. September 4th is "Labor Day" in the US, an appropriate day to release a clip from a movie called "Paycheck".  Seriously, though, have you considered www.YouTube.com ?? The site is becoming very popular!!  |

I tuned into the TNT airing Sunday night ... as most have said here, I wish Kathryn were in it a bit more, but the bit she was in was pretty intriguing. Too Funny #1: The part where she kind of clears her throat after they clear - rather publicly - the memory of her and Michael ... and the co-workers are like, "Geez, Rita," and she just kind of shrugs it off ... classic. Android-y?: I think Kathryn could play an android. LOL! Seriously, I was laughing a bit at how robotic a couple of her opening lines sounded - mind you, I LIKED this, but couldn't help but think of the rather femme-fatale / kick-butt female android in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. This dissipated as her scenes went on, but intitially, I thought she WAS a robot/holographic image (or some such thing) when she welcomed Michael to the lab. Different: Liked seeing her with sort of a sexy, villainous quality. Even though she really wasn't "the bad guy," I was thinking as I was watching that she could play one quite well if she ever chose to explore that type of role. Too Funny #2: How much red lipstick was she wearing - and it didn't come off! Going to have to start calling her Hot Lips Morris. LOL! |

Makes you wonder if maybe Rita had done things like that before. Perhaps she's got a bit of a reputation... At the start Rita is a bit of a corporate drone, just another cog in the machine. The pale skin, even for KM, and the bright lipstick, gives her an unreal quality. This contrasts well with her more wild actions later, makes it more of a surprise. It wasn't enough to make Jennings (Afleck) remember her though... 'Lilly Lips' ?  |

I think Ben Affleck and Kathryn were great together, they had good chemistry. Her character Rita looked a little bit devilish, but what was her job ?

LII, she was a lawyer for the corporation Jennings did the computer work for. That was a great moment! I loved Kathryn as a predetory femme fatale.  |

I agree, LillyKat, Kathryn could play a great villian. I've always heard actors say how much fun those types of roles are because they're so far removed from their own personality. |

Somehow this movie would have been better if Kathryn had a better and bigger part. Her character should have been explored more, like Rita and Micheal's relationship. Or when he goes back at the end , and she is there. Overall I liked it but it was lacking something

i recon. i was a little upset that there was not closure regarding Rita there. It kinda was just left hanging there. Aparently some of her screentime was cut down for some proposterous reason. So if anybody has a directors cut version, you'll probably seem more Kathryn on there. Is there even a directors cut of the movie?

 From what I've seen of her ugliness towards her past life displayed in Cold Case, I agree she could play someone's worst nightmare. I agree, LillyKat, Kathryn could play a great villian. Naj, Playing someone's worst nightmare would be an excellent role of KM to Play. Here character this movie really did look like that. The red lipstick and the suit plus her facial expression, who's to say if her character really was like that; the writers really didn't take anytime in developing KM's character more

aw thanks glad you like them TVFan. It is so great seeing actors in contrasting roles because it shows immediately that they are talented and that they can't really be type-cast, in KM's case as a detective - she can be anything!!
