That's a big opening weekend for some blockbusters, so I'm glad they moved Champ out of the way. It wouldn't have gotten as much publicity had it opened on the 4th.

How many theaters is it going to play? Is it going to be a nationwide release or one of those "Select Cities" (New York, Boston, LA) type of openings?

I found a review of the movie where the journalist writes KM is "quite impressive in a Michelle Pfeiffer kind of way". Not too bad, isn't it ? Thanks for posting this Audra, that's good that Kathryn's getting some mention. One question why is the writing comparing her to the other actress??
All I can say is that I can't wait to see this movie!!!

You're welcome LI2 !  I don't know why he compares KM to Pfeiffer in this particular movie, except they're both blondes and good actresses... ?  Maybe we'll understand once we have seen the film ? |

I think you need to look at the whole quote ("Kathryn Morris, an actress who does TV and is quite impressive in a Michelle Pfeiffer kind of way") to get the full meaning.
Unfortunately I take the comment to be a negative one by Mr Schaefer. The "does TV" is either poor English or deliberately dismissive. Comparing KM to another actress could be complimentary but not worded like that. I'd say he has a less than stellar opinion of Michelle Pfeiffer.
But this is a man who clearly doesn't understand the word resurrecting as shown by this comment: "I expected it to be something about boxers with Jackson as the mentor and Hartnett as the rising pugilist..."

I might have misunderstood his meaning. You posted someone else's opinion that's OK. Nothing to feel bad about. We cannot expect everyone to like everything Kathryn does. We might not like everything Kathryn does. There are plenty of negative comments on this board about Cold Case for example. |

Actually I didn't get a negative connotation at all. Although the wording is a bit off what he appears to be saying is that while KM is a TV actress she does have the potential to become bigger.

Thank you so much, Jezebel! Am really looking forward to this movie. After seeing the trailer, I think it would get my attention even if Kathryn wasn't in it. It sort of has that feel that I like with certain films. From a KM standpoint, I love that she is a) a prominent part of the trailer; b) billed alongside Jackson, Hartnett and Alda. Right on, KM. |

Maybe KM will finally win an oscar( I hope), I think this is the first time she ever played a mother; that's going to be good to see. I wish the movie was coming out sooner but I have a feeling this movie is going to be big!! I hope there will be more clips, of just Kathryn's character in the future. |
