While searching for the real Sleepover case, I stumbled upon one called "The Hitchhiker". This murder occurred in 1975 and follows the same premise. Hitchikers are murdered. Click on the link below. This was a real cold case.

Wow! I never knew this one was similar to a real cold case! That's really cool. The way the body was found in the woods in the real case is just like the CC story. There was even a traveling companion involved and a convicted murderer who had a history of using hitchhikers as his victims. Nice find R2K!
