How do you think Detective "Josie chippy" should handle the skepticism from her coworkers? We already know she comes to the Cold Case team with a cloud of suspicion, and that there's a sex scandal in her past.
Should she come on and play the "b*tch" and take no mess from them or should she handle this with dignity and allow Lily and the gang to think what they want and earn her way on the force this way, by being standoffish?
Personally, I want her to be kinda weary-- not trusting herself--of them too, and passionate about her job. If this comes across as b*tchy, I'm all for it. But I'd also like for her to be sympathetic and maybe regretful of this supposed scandal. Show some vulnerability.
Any idea what we're in for, guys??

I think "Josie chippy" will have her "b*tchy" moments, but you know the one who's name we shall not say. She can't play a role and not show the character's vulnerability and draw sympathy for the character. I don't think she will trust them first off, especially if she had bad experiences with her old force.

I think she will just keep her head down and focus on the job at hand, doing everything by the book and being very professional. I think after you have been caught at work doing something you're not meant to that is what usually happens. She will want to earn their respect and to do that best is to show she is excellent at her job.  |

I don't know. I know how I would act in that situation...(well, how I ASSUME I would act if I was in that situation), but I don't know what the writers are thinking.
luvthe one who's name we shall not saybrown: That's what I want too, for her to come on and be sort of (as you said) weary and untrusting of herself and others, but passionate about her job.
Then again, if she was involved in a scandel in her previous department (or whatever it's called! haha) she may be really "tough", you know? A "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me" kind of girl.
But, I don't know. I think it'll be really cool to see the one who's name we shall not say on the premiere and get a feel of her character.

AT SBO another poster mentioned that "Josie chippy" may be resentful of the transfer. I never thought about that. If she was in love with her boss, maybe she wanted to transfer so they could be together.
Or maybe they ended the relationship under volatile terms and NEEDED to be transferred.
It'll be really interesting to see WHY she was transferred.
I think I'd probably be weary on a new force, trying to follow the rules by the book, too, Sonny, and not be a nuisance to draw attention to myself.
But if I had no choice but to be transferred, I'd be kinda b*tchy, taking it out on others! LOL! Sometimes it's easier to blame others for your problems! LOL! Sad, but true! LOL!
I can't wait to see how she'll approach the cases. I have a feeling she may be rough around the edges.
I actually want Lily to be like a role model to "Josie chippy". If she's a hot head, it'd be cool to see Lily break her, so to speak.
Is it Sunday yet??? GRRR!

In a first moment, Lilly and the gang won't discuss "Josie chippy"'s personal life, including the sex scandal (Vera, perhaps!). They're gonna act like nothing ever happened. IMO this will be good for "Josie chippy" because she won't need to play the bi*ch with her new coworkers.

I think "Josie chippy" will play it cool, trying not to ruffle any feathers. I wonder if the rest of the team will be aware of her alleged past scandel or not. I assume they probably would have heard the rumors. Oh man, I'm with all of you, Sunday can't come fast enough!

I agree that "Josie chippy" would probably try to keep things down when it comes to her (alleged) previous romance. I'm guessing the others will have heard the rumors, and that's why they'll be suspicious towards her, which is natural. "Josie chippy" will have to work hard to earn their confidence, but I don't see any of them making things too difficult for her (unless she does show up as a b*tch).

I know! Me, too! For some reason I am HIGHLY anticipating Lily's reaction more than the others! I want these two ladies to bond, but not easily at first!
And as I watched a repeat last night of Cold Case I noticed Valens flirting with the Asian lady that got the info about the bones not being Johnny's. She was pretty. It'd be cute if he flirted w/ Joise and she gives him the svil-eye-look! LOL!
