the actor who portrayed the Defunct Detective, who won three Daytime Emmys for her portrayal of the conniving Carly Benson Corinthos on “General Hospital,” joins the cast as the third season begins. Brown plays "Josie chippy" Sutton, a detective who “parachutes” into the cold-case squad from another division after a sex scandal involving a sergeant. Her first assignment is to help Lily investigate the 1988 murder of a teen who died on his graduation day after being run down by an unknown driver. The probe begins after the victim’s daughter, now a teen herself, is confronted by a man who claims to be her old dad.
