LONG-LASTING 'COLD CASE': Meredith Baxter is due back on the set of "Cold Case" this week. Her portrayal of Kathryn Morris' estranged, alcoholic mother in the CBS series last year made such an impact that it's going to be a recurring role for the former "Family Ties" star.

It's great to see Meredith Baxter on CC. I used to love her on family ties.

She looks and sounds so different now, I can hardly place her back in "Family Ties" myself. She does a good Philly accent too, that I had to look twice to register in my head that she's from Pasadena, California! I'm looking forward to seeing her again in Cold Case.
