I found this mention of Thom Berry in the on line column of Stacy Janell Smith...

X MARKS THE SPOT: It was all about skateboarding for "Cold Case" regular Thom Barry this hiatus. The father of five has two boys, 11 and 14, still at home and says, "My sons and I built a half-pipe ramp for skateboarding in our side yard … They're doing alleys off the top and stuff, jumping off a 4-foot wall and slamming it!" As a parent, isn't his heart ever in his throat watching such daredevil antics? "For me it's like, boys are gonna go until somebody gets hurt, and you just gotta understand that and let 'em go.'"

He recalls when his sons tried to build a tree swing. "I said, 'Guys, the way you've got that tied, you're going to swing right into the tree.' They said, 'No, we won't. We'll just go out around it.' I wouldn't make them do anything. I just said, 'OK, but you're gonna get hurt.' Then my son swings into the tree and gets up and walks by me all bent out of shape like I did it. He was so mad, but he wasn't going to give me the satisfaction of seeing him cry."

I believe it was from August 10 or 11.
