In TV Week this week, there is a double-page article on Cold Case. I do have the magazine, but my scanner is being a pain in the rear (also the reason I haven't got the TV Guide article up yet), but as soon as it decides it likes me again, I'll do so. In the meantime, I have part of the article from the website:

Getting warmer
In its third season, Cold Case is finally digging deep into the personal lives of the squad.
You’ve got to wonder what it is about Cold Case’s Lilly Rush that makes creepy homicidal maniacs want to open up to her. Kathryn Morris, who plays the tough but unusually understanding homicide detective, thinks she has the answer. “I think these killers pick up a frequency off her that she’s also damaged and emotionally capable of handling whatever it is they’re going to go through,” she says.
Fans of the hit crime drama saw Lilly use that ability to connect to save her own life in the last season finale, when she went face-to-face with serial killer George Marks (John Billingsley). And they’ll see it again in the July 10 episode. To crack a new case, Lilly will have to confront her own painful near-death experience with George.
But that kind of soul-searching isn’t unusual around the squad room lately. All of the detectives have been coming to work with their personal baggage, and it influences how they get the job done. Well into the third season, we’re finally getting to know Lilly, Scotty Valens, Will Jeffries, Nick Vera and their boss, Lieutenant John Stillman.
Danny Pino, who plays Scotty, is all for seeing the detectives’ personal histories bubble up in the storylines. “We all have colleagues who think they know us, then something comes about that sheds light onto who we once were,” says Danny, who recently became a dad for the first time. “That adds layers to what we play, and we look forward to that.”
In this week’s TV WEEK, we reveal inside scoops about the third season and how upcoming storylines will test Lilly and her colleagues’ strengths to the limit. Plus, read about next week’s episode and Lilly’s chilling new case!
