Networks are getting ready to play pick-up sticks with series

The beginning of the May sweeps is only a couple of days away, which means the lights are burning late at the TV networks as program executives give thumbs up or down to shows that are hanging by their fingernails.

Here's the rundown:

Cold Case Renewed

So many shows whose future is yet to be decided. Great news for Cold Case though. Despite it's lack of publicity it was renewed pretty early on it seems; and rightly so! ;D ;D

I second Sonny--rightly so!

Just a matter of taste here, but I would gladly kick some of the renewed ones (3 and a half men, CSI Miami, 24) in favor of Close to Home, Veronica Mars, and Everwood. Speaking of Everwood, what's the deal with that show? I don't see it up there anywhere.

I don't know why Everwood isn't listed, but it's in a lot of trouble. I would say its chances of getting renewed are probably about 25% right now. Major bummer! Coincidently, if you would like to help the show, click on the link in my signature to find out how.

Hey, Naj. Thanks very much for posting this article. I'm so happy about the news of CC's renewal, and with another great season with our girl KM! Woo-hoo!

However, it is bittersweet to hear that 2 of my other favorite shows are on the bubble (with one saying it is just a matter of announcing it) - Close To Home and Conviction. I truly hope that this news is just speculation, and these people are wrong.

I just read that Tony Danza was getting cancelled. Too bad, he had Kathryn on a few times and they were always good interviews! Not sure if they're still taping new shows or if they're showing reruns right now.
