LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports: AMERICAN CRIME (FOX) - The Jerry Bruckheimer-produced drama project has been given the green light to produce a pilot. Tyler Bensigner ("Cold Case") is behind the hour, which revolves around a team of media-savvy defense attorneys who handle high-profile cases. Feature director David McNally ("Coyote Ugly") is directing the Warner Bros. I'm thinking this probably spells the end of Tyler Bensiger as a writer for CC, which is a shame since he wrote the wonderful "Saving Patrick Bubley" this season. He also wrote season one's excellent "Glued." His other episodes include "Disco Inferno," "Who's Your Daddy," "Time to Crime" and "Creatures of the Night." He seems to write with a strong Lilly-emphysis, so yeah, bummer. I do wish him well with this new show, though.

From what I understand, and InsideR could inform us much better about this, but apparently Littman is an executive producer on all the Bruckheimer shows. He's basically in charge of Bruckheimer's television projects, so his name gets attached to every one of them.
