LILLYS STORY??

I AM NEW TO this board and Cold Case!! found it by accedent !! and fell in love with the show .my problem is ive only seen the reruns on tnt ,so i dont know Lilys backstory really well and the last eppy i saw was "in the woods"witch i have to say the BEST eppy ive seen so far!!! i was hoping you fine people would take pitty on the newbee and give me a recap of lillys story and if she and Scotty ever ...got together , cuz if they havent its a cryin shame!!! thank you !!! ----stevesbbgrl ;D

To answer your last point: no Lilly and Scotty have never "got together".

Many here will agree with you about The Woods. The way that Lilly is forced to confront her past, our getting some insight into what makes Lilly who she is, and Kathryn's acting in the episode are usually cited.


I'll try and recap Lilly but I'm sure others can do a much better job than I. My facts may be a little off but the gist is right.

Lilly is the product of a somewhat disfunctional family. Father left when she was quite young, we really no very little about him. Her mother is/was an alcoholic who often left Lilly and her sister to fend for themselves. At some point Lilly, whilst going out to the store to buy something for her mother, was attacked by someone. She was badly hurt. This is referred to in The Woods.

Lilly's sister Christina seems to be troubled young woman prone to conning people. She is wanted by the police in another state. Christina got involved with a man Lilly was engaged to and Lilly has never forgiven her.

Lilly became a cop and has worked her way up to detective in the homicide squad. Having solved some high profile "cold jobs" the team focus on such cases now.

Since we have know Lilly she has had a couple of serious relationships. The first was with Assistant District Attorney Kite. She just wasn't prepared to open up to him and pushed him away.

The 2nd was with Joseph, an apparent murder victim who was anything but dead. Getting involved with him nearly cost Lilly her job. Her intimacy issues with him made him walk away.

Fools both of them.

There is a 3rd guy, who was actually the first guy. "Ray". He's a classic bad boy Lilly has known for a long time, he helped her when she was attacked as a child. Now he tends to turn up when he wants a favour, of the legal kind.
