My money's on Scotty.
He took the shooting hard so I think he'll step up and help out. My guess is he hates cats so he won't like it, but he'll look after them for Lilly's sake.
I think Stillman's got a free pass, what with him being shot as well.

The cats will become super intelligent, feed and water themselves. Then they'll take over the unit and solve cold cases.

Or perhaps in a Red Dwarf-style twist in the 5 months until we see them again they will have evolved into a human-like form, and declared Vera their God.

I think they'll forget all about the cats. Poor things. NO one will remember to feed them till Lil specifically tells them to... just like I forget to water my maw's bonsai when she's outta town. But cats are resourceful beings. I'm sure they'll find a couple of moths or birds to gulp down or some other cat's food plate to break into. They'll be ok.

I voted for Scotty cause after all of the stuff he said to Lilly about "always being there for her" and the look on his face at the end of "Stalker" in the hospital, it seems he wants to do everything and anything for her because they bond really well  |

Little bit of what DF said... I think that Scotty will feed the cats, but Lilly will ask at some point if someone is feeding them. Then there will be a cute/borderline monogrammed barf bag worthy "look" exchanged between the two when Scotty tells her he's been doing it all along.
