This is not a spoiler thread. It's just speculation!
What do you think life will be like at Lilly's townhouse now that her mom has moved in? What do you want to see happen between the two?

Oooh, it's going to be tense. We know that Lilly really didn't want to take care of her mom any more, since she said so in both "Torn" and "Cargo". She feels that she has no choice but to take her mother in, and that will not be condusive to rebuilding their relationship.
Lilly's going to have to constantly be on guard for alcohol in the house, and she's going to have to spend time searching through potential hiding spots in her house. I'd much like to see a scene with Lilly doing that, and potentially finding some hidden alcohol, since her mom is on a strictly "no alcohol" basis now. I'm also guessing that she's going to force her mother to go to AA meetings, and I wouldn't be surprised if we get a scene of Lilly bringing her there herself.
This could be a good thing fro us, since we may get to see more interaction between her and her mom, and ultimately more scenes of Lilly at home.

Hmmm ... I don't know, but I think I'd actually have to go with the opposite of trublu's feelings. Maybe I'm just overly optimistic, but I actually don't see this arrangement as a negative for Lilly or Ellen. I see it more of an opportunity to try and get past that which has plagued both of them in the past - i.e., Lilly's "worst mom ever" routine and Ellen's "what do you want from me" routine. For me, I interpreted "Torn" differently than "Cargo." I thought "Torn" had Lilly feeling as she always had about her mother. "Cargo" perhaps started that way, but when staring down possibly losing her mom, I didn't get the sense Lilly had the same sentiments as she's had previously; I thought she softened. That whole "You'll have to come stay with me" line clinched it for me; that wasn't said with spite, disgust, anger or rage. Even when bringing Ellen back to the house ... I don't think either Lilly or Ellen ever thought they'd find themselves in this situation, but I also thought it suggested the turning of a new page. When you face losing someone close to you, it can sometimes force you to let go of resentment, anger, etc. I've had this experience, so perhaps I see this new arrangement between Lilly and mom in a different light. JMHO (I think I tend to also be the optimist when it comes to Lilly's personal stuff - LOL! )

That whole "You'll have to come stay with me" line clinched it for me; that wasn't said with spite, disgust, anger or rage. I saw that in a different light; since after Lilly said that, Ellen said, "I thought you said you were getting too old for this," and then Lilly responded with "That was when I still had a choice." I think Lilly is feeling like she's been forced into taking care of her mother. When they were back at her house, Ellen sort of looked toward Lilly with a "this won't be so bad" look, but Lilly turned away.

Interesting, trublu ... the way I saw the house scene was more along the lines of neither really knowing how it's going to work out - sort of indefinite uncertainty and a bit of fear. I do agree Lilly is once again forced into taking care of her mom, but it's (at least for me) under a much more grave set of circumstances (as in, drink again and it's fatal). I'm not sure Lilly's previous taking care of mom was in that dire of straits (even though it was pretty bad). Perhaps that's why I see it in more of a "new" sense as opposed to same ol', same ol'. Is Lilly really prepared to lose her mom for good ...? I am not sure she is and/or may even fear it - even with everything she has against her. I could be totally wrong, though. LOL! For me, I do want to see the Lilly/mom relationship go to the next level and not continue as it has been in the past. However, that may be wishful thinking on my part ... we'll have to see how it goes!

Hehe, this was spoilers to me... but I like it. It's not melodrama, bet lots of adults have to put up with this kinda thing all the time. I'm glad the writers decided to take the chance and explore it, instead of bringing on yet ANOTHER beau

Between Joseph and Ray and Kite all within the last 3 seasons, another guy would have been too much. This storyline is much more refreshing.
