I'm coming very late to this discussion, but maybe Lilly used to be close to someone who was a victim of discrimination (or even a crime) for being gay. It doesn't have to have happened to her to be a especially soft spot. As others have said nothing in her past actions has made me believe she ever had a relationship with other woman, but who knows. Maybe she hasn't figured out herself yet. It could explain some of her relationship issues.

I'm thinking as Tati is, in a slight. I know several people that feel compassion for gay people, but are not gay themselves. Now there is always the slight chance that Lilly could on an offchance get into a romantic relationship with another woman.
Anyone remember Kinsey's scale? It states that nobody is perfectly straight, and nobody is perfectly gay. It's possible for a straight person to be in a romantic relationship with someone of the same sex, and vice versa.
(btw, can anyone fill me in on the deal with Kat?)

Nobody is! It's all a matter of what you want and who you meet--and how things turn out. I think it's perfectly plausible Lilly could have a relationship with a woman, but I don't think she's feeling particularly insecure about her sexual orientation just yet. Her issues are more about trust than sexual object IMO. But of course I've been proven wrong about her in the past, so I guess my Rush insight ain't too sharp.
Also... I dunno, but I don't think (please don't anyone take this the wrong way or be offended or anything) gay issues are particularly deserving of "compassion". After all, gay people are people just like everybody else, and their love affairs deserve the same understanding and "rooting for" as anyone else's, and just because Lilly understands and roots for them doesn't make her gay or compassionate. Just a decent, worldly human being. In my own honest opinion. Dunno if that makes any sense, but that's what I was trying to say in my first post.

In a sense I agree Disasterfreak, unfortunately to counteract the extreme of prejudice, the gay community does need the extreme of compassion.
I hope that made sense.
