True Blue aired last night. I remember in Best Friends and this ep. (not sure about It's Raining Men or Time to Hate but Lilly seems to have much compassion for this theme.
Is it just compassion or did she have a relationship with another woman?

It's possible to have compassion without having the experience. I'd say neither. She's just a decent human being.

I think it's just her compassion. She seems to have the same amount for all of her victims. As DF said, you don't have to have had the experience to feel compassion for someone going through it. I find myself very drawn to these episodes and the civil rights one because I feel such compassion for the victims. Yet, I've never had a relationship with another woman, nor did I live through the civil rights movement. It's just drives me crazy that people are discriminated against in our society, so I think that's what drives my compassion.  |

But like many have already said, everythings possible and like Lee said, she sure is a Mistress of secrets. She's Lilly after all, never can tell what there might be found in her past, but otherwise, nah, I don't think a relationship with another woman would be one of her secrets. |

So far we don't have any evidence. We need some evidence. Like who was that girlfriend in season one many of us wanted her to have as a friend. TVFan should remember this one. I can't remember the ep.  |

It was Lindsay, the social case worker. I don't remember much of their interaction but it seemed pretty normal and friendly to me. No "ex-like" awkwardness.  |

Oh true it didn't. But they were interacting in a social area. Maybe there' something else. I think we just wanted Lilly to have a gal friend back then. It was Lindsay, the social case worker. Ya know, Naj? After reading the wikipedia article, where Lilly's words to Jimmy are quoted "you ARE the lucky ones" and such, I realized there COULD be a hint there to a closeted past. Of course it could be taken both ways. When I first watched the episode, I figured Lilly was talking about her relationship with McRay--it COULD work out that way, "the world didn't understand, you gotta hold on to it or it'll be gone forever, etc." But it could also have been a reference to some same-sex relationship in her past.
Personally, I don't think Lilly ever had a closeted past. None of her actions seem to point to it. But you never know. Guess it's something we'll just have to speculate about and never really know--like her supposed baby.
Anyway, good theory.

Hi RichE. Well it seems many here. from what I can remember, loved Kite. We've never really bounced the idea around that Lilly had a woman lover. But it's season 4 and since "they've" brought up romance a lot this season, I thought I'd throw it out there to mix the pot and stir the imagination. Now that they're writing some good stuff with the cast, I'm willing to let it fall to their creative explorations.
