Hi spaingirl ... welcome to the board ... the CC cats are "actor" cats; that is, they're not Kathryn's. Olivia actually has both eyes in real life (they apply make-up/prosthetics to make the cat look as if it only has one), and Tripod has all 4 legs (they position the cat so we never see that "fourth" leg). It's kind of amazing, actually, as I thought Olivia only had one eye and Tripod really had only 3 legs!

That's weird (amazing, yes, but weird)...weren't there any three-legged/one-eyed cat actors in Hollywood? I could have lent them my old cat. He had three legs.

You know how it is in Hollywood. All those cats hanging around, waiting to be discovered.

I don't even like cats that much, but I think it's just...really sad, how they need to make them look like half blind and 3 legged. Would it seriously be that hard just get some all ready injured cats from some kind of animal-central-place where they take care abandoned animals.... there propably will be at least one cat with only one eye in her head.....

Hi spaingirl and welcome. It amazes me how they can get them to do things sometimes. They are two laid back cats and Kathryn I would assume has to spend some time with them.

Yeah, I wouldn't think they could just pick up cats at the shelter to use. You know how cats are, not all that mallable to training.

I bet those cats are really friendly off screen, maybe off screen Kathryn plays with them .

I can't believe that cat has all four legs. Those camera angle ppl are good. Meanwhile, acting is prob a good gig for a cat; lying around, getting attention.

Just one question, how would they react is they saw Joseph's cats?? I'm guessing that, being cat actors, they would need to be tolerant with other animals as part of the job requirement.

LOL!!!! This is the most hilarious discussion ever.
I'm thinking cat actors, no matter how "professional", are territorial deep down--so maybe they'd claw and hiss and spit as Joseph's cat as much as they would any other cat on the street.

Maybe Olivia and Tripod would get along well with Laura and Archer

I'm thinking the conversation would go something like: Pffft, pfffft, grrrrrrrrrrr, pffft, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, grr, pfft.
Just my opinion. Even trained cats are, after all, cats.

My two cats used to run around and have these times when they were trying to exert authority. They did exactly this. I called it spitting. There was a lot of pfffftttt, pfffftttt, going on. It's so funny to watch. I'm thinking the conversation would go something like: Pffft, pfffft, grrrrrrrrrrr, pffft, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, grr, pfft. Just my opinion. Even trained cats are, after all, cats.
