I would love for them to get together, but there's always the thought in the back of my mind that if they did get together and break up, the show would be ruined. That would be so awkward. Don't get me wrong, I'm an L/S shipper all the way. I think Scotty and Lilly have gotten closer since they've been partners. They understand each other more than anyone else, because they know what the other has been through. But I'm just concerned for the well being of the show. Nobody likes the aftermath of a breakup, especially since they'd still have to work together. Who knows, even if they did get together, maybe they wouldn't break up. I guess I think all of this because I know that Lilly is very insecure, especially in relationships. ok, I'm done. Sry if I rambled on too much, lol.

I think me and you are like the most obsessed shippers out there lol! @babyv16- I agree, but it would be good if they got together when Cold Case was going to finish or something I'd be really happy, and I also know that alot of fans would get annoyed if L/S happened but I'm just hoping & hoping, another thing is that we're not just stupid fans who see two people and think they'd go well together, there's alot of L/S shippers out there, there's a reason by that isn't there..? |

Unlike most shippers, I just cannot see Lilly/Scotty working. I've no problem with those who do want them to hook up. I definitely prefer Lilly with Kite and Ray but that is just me and I'm not forcing my opinion on others.
It's kind of weird because I ship another couple in Battlestar Galactica that seemed doomed to not happen way back when in season one, now we're determined that they are going to hook up. Here, with Cold Case, I just hope the writers don't go for making Lilly and Scotty a couple. Shippers out there can ship them but this gal won't hehehe. I'll make icons for them if requested and that's what I'm going to do for Kayli. This is just one viewers opinion out of countless others.

I love The Kite and The Ray. Those two are dreamsicles.
I just don't see Lilly and Scotty working out... It would get weird around the office (and we all know Lil hates for her personal life to spill over into work, although she did take a walk on the wild-er side by dating a suspect ie. The Joseph) and they just work so much better as friends. And it's not as if the writer's are working the UST angle (a la Booth/Bones or Mulder/Scully).

I've made a list of Lilly's past lovers, to examine why she always ends up alone.
Ray- They were childhood friends even made her a milkshake after her jaw got broken at the age of ten (Baby Blues). Even almost got married at 19( 8 years, The Red and Blue) but decided not to.
Do you even notice that when Lilly sees him driving up to her in that motocycle she quills up like a porcupine? You can acutally see the "walls" going back up like she's sort of protecting herself.
Ray does love her, but he sees her the way he wants to not who she really is now. Instead he shows up charms her but doesn't quite understand that Lilly isn't the person she used to be. One thing is for certain she does love him but is hesitating to tell him which is mysterious.
Kite- He loved and wanted to be around Lilly. I think she did as well but somehow her " walls" went up proventing her from really trying to make their relationship work. He took her out for drinks( Glued) and Dancing( Disco Inferno).
Was Lilly emotionally invested in this relationship, it's hard to tell. In a way Kite was sensing that she only cared about work not about their relationship therefore he had to end it. Deep down I think she did love him, but couldn't express it.
Joseph- An odd pairing from the jump, I think the problem first had started with the scene after Lilly had burnt the pancakes(War at Home). After she told him about her father, it was like she wanted comfort, but instead he's holding a cat.
No sooner after that, Joseph tells Lilly he loves her( Sandhogs) which sends thousands of Chills down her spine.
Has Lilly ever really been told that, don't know for sure. Somehow after that Joseph becomes "Mr. Needy". One thing we learned in about her is that Lilly doesn't like people too close to her.
Therefore she startes to push him away, advoiding his phone calls and making up lies. Was Joseph so blinded in love that he didn't see it, maybe or maybe not.
The biggest thing is when Lilly gets dumped once again. This time she starts to cry, unseen when Kite had done this ( lovers Lane) Is she torn between two men she loves, yes
Inside, Lilly looses both Ray and Joseph and ends up back alone. Out of deperations she screams" I don't want to be alone". Maybe it out of hope, knowing that she wants someone to love her.
My theory is that Lilly is so afraid that someone is going to harm her that she builds up the "Walls" in an effort to block them. But after she had been shot ( stalker), I think Lilly is realizing that dying alone wasn't emotionally truamtic.
Maybe this conseling thing is a good idea, to make her understand why everyone leaves. Maybe this will help Lilly open up more, which could help her emotionally.

I voted for Kite simply because there wasn't a "nobody" option and Kite is the only guy Lilly has had on the show that I thought she had real chemistry with. That said, though, I think Lilly's relationships have been awkward mostly and have just gotten in the way of the stories rather than complementing them. I also think "low-drama Lilly" works best on the show, so I prefer her to be unattached. Maybe Kite can come back in the series finale (hopefully a few seasons away), so she can be happy, but I think the revolving-door of relationships can be annoying. I'm one of those weird people who watches Cold Case primarily for the cases, though. I like the regular characters, and their personal dramas are okay as long as they don't get in the way of the cases (I prefer it when their personal stories actually coincide with the case somehow).

I voted scotty ...because well scotty's awesom and they would be so cute togethre. but i know i know....probably won't happen. I think her and saccardo are cute together in season 6 though. Why did he have to go undercover? why!

I myself was disappointed in the relationship with Joseph. Those two really did not have the chemsitry that was needed, and I was actually glad when it was broken up. However I have noticed that they maybe pushing her towards Jonathan LaPaglia who plays ADA Bell.

I didn't see anything that would make me think that they would pair up ADA Bell with Lilly, he doesn't seem like he wants start a relationship with her. They just work well.. I was disappointed in the eddie Saccardo thing, he should have stayed both him and Lilly really did love each other

No, I do think they can be good friends but nothing else between ADA Bell & Lilly.
Ada Bell was for Miller but I don't know what happened that the writers did not develop that

I thought that Joseph and and Lilly sounded good on paper, when they were investigating his case. But then, as was said above, he got needy. Lilly doesn't really need needy. And I don't think there was that much of a relationship with Kite. He'd never be able to understand how important her job is to her. I agree with longislanditalian2's opinion that Ray sees Lilly as she was, and not as she is. I think she probably wishes on some level that she could go back to how she was, but she knows thats not possible and doesn't really want to. In the end, I voted for Scotty because that is just my shipper.  no real reasons other than I think they'd be cute together.  |

I think Saccardo was good for her, but perhaps Lilly needs to date someone that isn't a cop or someone that she knows. That's her real problem, she dates men that aren't good for her. Scotty already was with Christina and she considers him like a brother to her, ( Sorry that's just my own opinion).

Yeah. Saccardo knows about her job, cares enough to know about her, knows which buttons to push, whatnot. He was definitely a good influence on her. I still like Scotty better, but thats cause I also wish I could be with him. |
