Was Lily always the main focus of this show?

I am a new viewer and I want to know if Cold Case was always about Lily or is it a popularity thing? Not that I have a problem with Kathryn Morris cause she rocks but i watched another show where the show was supposed to be an ensemble show but ended up being about one character. Again, I have no problem and please do not take it the wrong way.

It was always supposed to be about Lilly, but last season they began to change it into an ensemble show. I guess it was too much pressure over one actress/character. I kinda miss it being from Lilly's POV though.

Yep, originally in the beginning, the show was about Lilly, but now, each of the characters have a story to tell. So, I guess the change is to give kind of an equal time to each character However, I do hope they dwelve further into George which was the last episode with Lilly

Yep, designed and marketed as a "lone female detective in Philly Homicide". It was surprising to see the sudden and awkward shift in the premiere episode of season 2 "Badlands". Came out of nowhere.

Since I was around this board in early season one and saw most fans come on board it's kind of like the fans looked for Lilly while the writers went away from their original formula. It's very odd having observed this. The talk of other supporting cast was more about how it related to the eps being about Lilly. Maybe this got misread/misinterpreted or it was never their plan to have the show stay a one person centered show and the audience wasn't let in on it.

Yes of course it is all about Lilly, or isn´t it anymore?
In season 1 and 2 Lilly was definitely THE main character but what´s wrong with giving the others a bit more screen time for personal stuff too, i guess that´s what they also doing in season 3, but i wouldn´t really like it if they would totally turn it into a ensemble show, though of course i do want personal stuff especially about Scotty and Stillman but the most i wanna learn more about Lilly´s character.... and besides i think she is still the one who really carries the show, the others shouldn´t be replaced too but lilly is the heart of this show, right??!!!
