Sorry, Naj. I voted no romance between Lilly and Scotty... EVER!!! I wouldn't exactly stop watching the show (hmm... actually, I might), but I'd be sadly disappointed. Really, I would.

I said no way. It would never work out. They are both too stubborn and a romance between those two would take the show down a road I wouldn't care to follow.

I voted no way. I'd never stop watching the show, but I think it would look like a soap opera sometimes (like Without a Trace, sometimes). Not that I don't think office dating is a interesting storyline, it is, but... not with Lilly and Scotty.

Good evening everyone, Hey, how is everyone tonight? Hopefully very well, I just wanted to cast my vote on this poll. I just do not see this relationship happening. It just seems so much against Lilly's character. Even when their relationship was good over the first year and a half of the series, they were never romantically involved (I know there were other circumstances with Alissa and Kite, but it still never seemed to lean towards romance, in my opinion). Plus, I cannot see Lilly ever wanting to be with someone who she KNOWS her sister has been with before. Whether that stems back to her ex-fiance, we do not know yet, but something bad happened, and you saw how Lilly blew up at Scotty in "Revenge" when she found out about Scotty and her sister. It wouldn't surprise me if sooner or later something would happen between Lily and someone she works with. I'm not saying a full blown romance but maybe a little flirting or even a one night stand. The reason why I'm saying this is because it seems like a lot of shows have touched on that subject. Some shows have done a good job at it while others just blew it big time. If this would happen, I would say it be later on like in season 5.

I voted that it would ruin the show. I think a romance between the two characters would overshadow the premise of the show. I think the show would become to personal(too much about their personal lives). It is the right mix now-doses of the personal that leave you guessing,and understanding the reason why the character is driven by their personality. It would change their dynamic-they are work partners in a very stressful,and potentially dangerous work environment.People are right it would become another soap opera.

I voted that it would ruin the show. It has ruined "Without A Trace" for me this season, and it would be worse with Cold Case because it would be so out of character for Lilly. I'm not against her dating another cop, just not Scotty. It would muddy the waters, and as byrdman pointed out, he's already been with Chris. I can't see Lilly getting past that fact, either. She doesn't seem the sort who would settle for "sloppy seconds."

I agree with everybody who voted "no way." It would be completely out of character for Lilly and it would just be plain weird and awkward. I think the TPTB are too smart and creative to take the show down that road.

Definitely no Lilly/Scotty relationship on the show. I say this for almost EVERY male/female partnership on cop shows, where people ABSOLUTELY want them to get together. It will ruin the partnership. They have a bro/sis thing kinda going on.

Right there with you, Ryebeach and Trublu. And technically, the bro/sis thing would be more original--because almost all other shows have eventually ended up getting them together (X-files, Silk Stalkings, WaT, the list goes on and on...)

The first time I watched the show (mid season 2  ) I instantly thought that Lilly and Scotty looked really good together and for a few weeks thought they would make an adorable couple. However as I have watched more and more I think that a full blown romance/relationship would not be right. I'm all up for a bit of flirtation and a little jelousy when one or the other date someone, and also for their friendship to become alot closer and stronger. I think that sometimes seeing a really close friendship is much nicer. I was a huge X-Files fan and for years I was a real Mulder/Scully shipper and finally when they got it on I felt a little disappointed, so I hope it doesn't happen with Lilly and Scotty. However I think Lilly would need to be in a relationship with someone she works with or someone who has a good understanding of what her job is all about so they know how important it is. I know Kite fitted this characteristic but I don't quite think he fully understood how dedicated to her job she is. Shame really there were moments where he really brought her out of herself. She's so beautiful, you'd think all those male cops would be falling at her feet! I just hope Lilly finds someone who loves her for what and who she is, she so deserves that. |

LS is my 'fantasy' pairing. In no way possible/feasible, and if it happened on the show, it would probably kill it, but in fandom, I adore this pairing:D

For most of the shows i watch, i just have "fantasy" pairings, as you put it. For the cop shows, they just cant let relationships get in the way of the case solving. Thats the most important part of the show. |

Can't imagine Lilly and Scotty pairing. Or rather it's not part of my imagination coz I don't think it's in the characters or in the show. Though unfortunately I can imagine a lot of things happening - but I really wouldn't like to see it. No, never.
